How has GTAforums helped you in progressing GTA Online? Has GTAforums been a source of help or just entertainment for you fellow forumers?

I've been to a few car meets, that's about it really. I learnt most stuff from actually playing the game and finding out for myself.

I use this site for its sole purpose: to discuss the Grand Theft Auto series.

 

Usually I like comparing cars and seeing peoples' opinions but really I check it for announcements as people are usually on top of that first thing

GTA Forums hasn't really helped me with the actually game itself.

 

SeaWallTX's update posts on the game updates are what led me here as it allowed

me to learn a lot more about the various changes R* have made but I read it

mostly for entertainment and posting any info that I know about the game etc.

Yup this forum has given me a lot for all it's flaws.

 

Without I wouldn't know half of the small tips & tricks that are useful every day like eating snacks in cover, highlighting players on your phone, small things like that.

 

I also wouldn't have met my crew, without which I honestly wouldn't be playing this game anymore. I was well and truly bored of playing alone and was ready to give up so I bought a PS4. Then for no reason in particular I decided to join QOTD and now my PS4 is sat collecting dust with 400 system updates I need to install.

 

I've also been helped out by the duping threads and RR hosting thread.

I've actually gotten a lot if great tips and cool ideas from here. If you know where to look there is a ton information here, people are just to focused on trying to be funny/jackasses to see it most times.

Apart from that, I just enjoy reading the losers post butt hurt posts and threads. And idiotic game ideas (mentioning no names).

I originally signed up to contact someone who was willing to help spawn a hearse for me. Thanks to Shadow_Titan17 who was glad to oblige, and helped me a ton. Since then, I've been happy to contribute to some topics and pick everyone's brains. Haven't been around long, but long enough to be recruited by a good crew that I've been able to tear up some missions with!
