Leak from Sony, GTA V on PS4?

Rockstar is going to take every opportunity to get every dollar from us. Not saying they are bad for that, but they're a company, their whole existence is to make money and if they see a potential window into making a lot more of money they are going to take it and not look back.

 

That said GTA V confirmed; PC, PS4, Xbox1, and maybe the WII U. Just imagine playing GTA on the WII hahaha

I'm just joking. But I will put money on that it will be released because the amount of money they would make is too much for them not to. The game was created on a PC and it would take maybe a week to get it ready for a PC. Next gen might take a little longer but I'm pretty sure I read that game companies were happy with the next gen consoles because they were so easy to code and make games on.

Only gonna get ps4/xone when gta 6 is announced. Same like I did for gta v with last gen.

So you didn't get a ps3/xbox360 till gtaV was announced? So you got a ps3/xbox360 on or after 10/25/2011? You missed out on a lot of great games at release....such as GTA4.

I would love for it to go back to its PC roots. With all the hacked money on consoles though just imagine how bad that would be on PC. Maybe R* will just throw in the towel on GTA:O (PC) by either not releasing it at all or just not care about the potential revenue loss from the PC game.

What'll be even more funny is if Rockstar signed an exclusivity deal with Sony for next gen releases. The shape the Xbox One is in at the moment, it's not hard to imagine that developers may overlook it.

Xbox One is not in bad shape, it's in much better shape that the Xbox 360 was and that was great. The PS4 is just in better shape but not nearly enough for a developer to let themselves lose the money they would gain by also developing to both systems. Notice how most 3rd party developers going exclusive in PS4 are indies, which probably are safer taking the exclusivity deal money. Exclusivity is bad for bussiness and the medium. RIP my spelling I think.

 

It's doing pretty bad, you can still buy a 'Day One Edition' Xbox One from stores.

They even had to halt production on their system due to low sales figures, to much supply not enough demand.

I don't fan/favour either console since I don't own either of them yet, so I can't give my own personal opinion of either console, but with the PS4 being a more powerful console people will flock towards that, and they are judging by the sales figures alone. Also, Kinect is an issue, it's not required yet still bundled with the console. The majority of Xbox One users would simply just prefer not to have it judging by the negativity surrounding it.

 

That being said, it's still early days, it may turn in their favour. This years E3 will make or break it for them, but if they have Usher on stage again, it's game over for them. And if the console isn't selling, 3rd party developers will simply just stop developing for the console.

 

 

X1 definitely not in bad shape, just going through the same problem with developers the PS3 had when it first came out, and the PS3 wasn't consider "in bad shape" then. Sounds like fanboy talk that's all, both systems are amazing.

 

The PS3 was in terrible shape, for a good 3 years after release. Nobody disputes this.

I think transferring character data to next gen consoles would turn away a lot of new players on those systems. Could be a very bad move.

I think I would purchase the Xbox One version of the game because I already have the console. This is the only game I play on the 360 currently. Graphics on my XO console are great and I notice the difference when I play GTA V. GTA V graphics are great too, but the next gen console is a nice bump on games like Titan Fall and Battlefield.

 

I'm waiting to see if Watchdogs ends up being as fun or environmental as GTA. So far it looks close but not as destructible as GTA when it comes to car damage and things on the street.

That was to be expected really. I'd hoped for the two to coincide, but the fact of the matter is that we PC gamers don't have as powerfully concentrated of a lobbying force as MS or Sony in terms of being able to purchase exclusivity rights for something like GTAV.

 

I'm happy to wait. It's worked every time so far, enjoying it on my sh*tty 360 for now.

Doubt specific stories legitimacy (but i'm a pessimist), still hope its true. GTAO is the only game i really play on xbox live anymore and im just not gonna pay for the sub to that for one game when i already pay for PS plus on my PS4. Personally i like GTAO enough to buy it again on next gen, though i seriously doubt i would upgrade my console specifically for it.
