Its funny how he thinks that it should be the way he wants it to be rather than the way Rockstar actually meant it to be and then he gets mad at Rockstar and says they're wrong. This guy truly is an idiot and all the laughable things I've heard him do and seen him do all adds up. In conclusion, I can safely say the OP is an idiot.

 

Oh and I bet he still didn't look up the word passive yet but instead continues to create his own definition, lol...

So basically, passive mode is a "kill me" sign? No wonder it's useless. You have two choices, fight back, or have the game take away all of your guns and you can get run over instead.

Exactly. I hate forced PvP. Sometimes i just want to do sh*t on the map without having to deal with griefing assholes. And i don't want to hide in invite only sessions.

I would give up being able to shoot from a car or being able to run someone over when i am passive in a heartbeat if it meant i couldn't be killed in my car while passive.

But with your idea, the guy who was in the tank who goes into passive mode is completely untouchable. At least the people who have been terrorized by this tank asshole have a very slim chance of taking him out a time or two before he manages to get high enough off the ground so no one can mess with him.

 

I agree with your idea, but assholes will use it to further their assholery, like in the situation above and when people put it in passive so they can go get their tank while no one can do anything about it.

 

Passive as it is isn't perfect, but it's better than your idea.

Blowing up PVs means I don't understand the definition of the word passive? Nice logic there, and if you noticed that's a very old picture from... I forgot when they removed snow vehicles but that picture is from the day before.

 

Oh and the definition of passive mode isn't my definition, its the actual definition. Shall I post the definition for you again since you don't seem to understand? Maybe seeing it again will help you learn.

My idea is to remove griefing since passive mode is useless for that. Actually, passive mode is useless either way because you are only hurting yourself because you can't defend yourself.

That would be a great way to get all the people complaining about being killed all the time to be happy with something.

 

In regards to fixing Passive Mode though I agree with the ghosting thing. Nothing should be able to run you over like tanks and cars and etc. It'd make it perfect then.

Hey - Passive only means you don't fight back.

It doesn't mean you can't take punishment.

In fact, "passive" means exactly that - To take punishment without fighting back.

The only thing is no one can touch me when I'm in Passive Mode because I'm smart.

At least somebody actually understands the definition of passive and isn't trying to promote it as what they think it should mean. Passive ≠ invincible.

Yeah pretty much lol Doubt they will ever do it though so fixing passive mode would be the better thing to do.

 

All that needs to be fixed with passive mode is that you just can't be killed by being run over. It'd be perfect then. Being shot out of your car is a different story.

Yo, DarkWar854 - You know, there are ways to avoid being killed while in Passive Mode.

It's easy. See a car barreling towards you? Hold Select and then press up once. Kill Yourself. It's free.

When you respawn, open the Select menu and keep "Kill Yourself" highlighted and then find that same player who tried to flatten you. Wait for him to start coming towards you again, Kill Yourself. When you respawn again, go off the radar and turn Passive Mode off. Kill him once or twice, then switch back into Passive Mode, find a ledge to stand on, and send him a message saying "2-0, fa99ot".

 

Do what I do. Be smart.

Simply stand somewhere you can't be run over, how hard is that?

They really should just add another free roam type with no pvp. They had a friendly free roam in Red Dead Redemption that was added after the game was released.

Seems like something that could/should be implemented I think.

Whatever Rockstar chooses to do there will always be people who don't like it and think it's stupid. Passive mode works just fine. Gain more bearing.

I abuse the hell out of it. I admit it. At first, I had these rules where I wouldn't go into Passive Mode after killing someone, but now I do it after killing anyone just to piss people off. And it works. Well. I barely get killed anymore, and if someone so much as rams the ledge I'm standing on while in Passive Mode, I'll suicide bomb them later and then throw on Passive Mode immediately after the respawn and run circles around him when he respawns.

I have to laugh at Rockstar for making a PvP only free mode and and implementing Passive mode which is a failed try to enjoy the non PvP side of free mode.

What happens now is players using it as a scapegoat to grief and the really Passive players can still be killed with ease.

For me it should have been from the beginning like this:

PvP Free Mode with Passive Mode

Friendly Free Mode without Passive mode,players cant kill each other no matter what but there arent any High Priority Vehicles or Armored Trucks.

Add an option to choose a lobby with friendly fire on meaning you can't shoot or kill players,but can still interact with npc & stuff as usual
