Would you pay for Heist DLC Pack?

Didn't see any other kind of threads like this. I know the general assumption that if,(that's a big if), Heists do come out, that it would be a free DLC. I don't believe Rockstar ever stated whether they would be free, or not either. With that said, if they do decide to make a Heist DLC, would you be willing to pay prolly $10 for it?

 

If it's a paid DLC, one has to think that the missions would be quite elebarate. Payouts should be decent, and perhaps a way to make your own custom heists. Wouldn't that be something? I wouldn't mind paying Heists if they exceed those of Single Player.

I think they have mentioned when GTAO released that Heists were going to be part of the online package even if it was released late and so we wouldn't be paying for it, also does it actually make sense that we pay to make money lol

Hah, I wouldn't either but we just got 5 whole missions after 7 months....that's just not going to happen.

 

Basically, this game is too shallow for that and as games with greater replayability and variety continue to come out, few people will stick around long term. The whole structure of GTA:O is lacking depth.

 

I would love to be snatching heist objectives with Cargobobs with friends and escaping in jet boats or submarines, but I don't feel it's gonna turn out that way.

At this point I wouldn't pay for anything in this broken ass game. If gtao actually become a reliable gaming experience then sure I'd throw my money at them. But it's not. The game is fun but has so many holes you can see the lights shining down from heaven.

i am actually more excited for the High Life DLC. Heists are gonna be fun playing it the first or maybe second time but they won't be something to do for a long time if there gonna be not many differents between the heists.. And to answer the Question: If heists DLC would contain 10-20 Heists methods/locations i would definitly pay 5-10$ for it.

Fun fact a heist DLC was never announced, In fact the only DLC Rockstar has announced for GTA V since its release is for the single player mode. Beach Bum. Valentine's Day Massacre, Business, and the upcoming High Life and Heists were always referred to as updates by Rockstar as Updates.

The reasons are thus,

One they're free, DLC implies the potential cost of money. A software update implies free.

Two they aren't optional

Three while on the 360 they are separate downloads on the ps3 they're part of the patch and no one refers to patch's as DLC.

 

SO EITHER PROVIDE PROOF its not a free update or STOP TROLLING!

I'd absolutely not pay for heists, especially if the new apartments turn out to be all in the same buildings - they've taken the easy way for a lot of DLC in a game that has massive potential and it's getting to the point where it's really dismaying. I do not have high expectations for any future DLC.

You're right about the heists being DLC and not part of the update, which also brings to mind the casino, jetpacks and phone numbers stuff. Anything substantial isn't gonna be in a small update and the heists are substantial. But I gotta chime in on two things.

 

1. Software updates and patches go hand in hand and usually mean the same thing. The former implies things the publisher is adding/removing out of preference, the latter implies fixes based on necessity. DLC means Downloadable Content. While the above technically counts as DLC, the implication is that the Content in DLC is something optional and serves as an addition, which can be free or sold as a premium.

 

2. The heists were mentioned in the first Online trailer there wasn't any mention of it being future DLC. Therefore, it's going to be free.

 

That said, if they do plan on charging me any money, I'm gonna complain about it on the internet!
