The most obvious thing that R* would do would be to allow us to buy another of the properties that are already available. This would be the easiest way of them allowing us more garage space, rather than opening up the 15 mansions I visited last night - or the foreclosed properties that seem to have recently had the real-estate dealer boards put up outside. It would be pretty cool to be able to buy one of these, but having looked at them - most of them have a 2 car garage, some of them don't have a garage at all!

 

Unfortunately, the High Life Update (which will be 1.13 and released probably in early-mid May) is not going to include mansions, or properties outside of Los Santos.

 

 

Confirmed new apartment options meaning more than one garage but nothing on houses

We don't know for certain if they will be adding new apartments that we cannot already purchase in L.S. or if we will just be able to buy another of the existing ones (i.e. Weazle Towers, Eclipse Towers, etc.).

 

I think they will be adding new apartments, but we don't know where they will be yet - maybe we could have a look around and see if there is anywhere likely that could be for sale next month - it would be an apartment block with a double garage, there are a lot of buildings in L.S. but most probably don't have their name on the front (like Weazle/etc.)

 

For those who want a getaway place up north for some peace and quiet, what I would do is buy one of the existing properties - probably the nicest one that is closest to Sandy Shores or McKenzie Airfield and then buy a new apartment in L.S. when they become available :0)

If you're getting annoyed by a delay, you're not patient. You're impatient.

 

Look, the heists in single-player and online are not at all the same thing. They're going to be vastly different. They need to make a lot of new things to make the heists actually work, including quite possibly new interiors, models, etc.

Well, that's no good. How can I possibly win a race with all the "non-player traffic, structures and other scenery" getting in my way? Hopefully they'll ghost out all of that stuff in the next update.

Are you serious? The only thing they removed has been the player contact because there are tons of useless b*tches out there who can't just win a simple race without cheating on other players. All the rest stay the same as it has always been, which is amazing. Now racing will finally be about skill, not about cheating on other players, as some think it is...

 

I manage to win races now and then in spite of being knocked around by idgets, and I'm not exactly Mario Andretti. GTA racing isn't like Gran Turismo. "Skill" means more than just driving fast and handing the curves.

 

Don;t get me wrong - I like a clean race as much as the next guy, but No Collision, like Catch Up, is just another tool to give people with zero driving skills a chance to win. But like any MMORPG, the whiners whined until they got what they want.

They just don't get it (and BTW, I said I'd LMAO if one of the new apartments was at Eclipse, so LMAO indeed), what's the point of new apartments in the same buildings, when they're not needed - they could have just offered the ability to switch pre-existing apartment configurations.

 

It's not as if people were asking for more options spread out or anything, or for Eclipse and the RM/Weazel areas to be less of a warzone. Hey, I got an idea, lets add new apartments to areas that don't need them.

 

There is still the possibility of a new building or two, but with them talking about "prime locations" and two being at Eclipse and RM, I don't have a lot of hope.

 

Cars look very nice, but the new apartment options so far seem like a real disappointment. Not making this all about NEW apartments seems like both lazy and a waste.

yeah this is very disappointing. I swear i read that Brian B. confirmed there would be new apartment buildings. That was one of the biggest things i was looking forward to in this update i was really hoping for an apartment out by the ocean in one of those high rises right off the coastal highway.

Considering the image of the cars had a distinct fish-eye effect going, I wouldn't put a whole lot of faith in that pictures accuracy to begin with.

 

And in saying that, it's not like the Ducati 1098 is exactly overly thin, but it's still one of the fastest motorbikes in the world. You can't assume the performance yet, is my point.

It's not like there's much to do in the apartments anyways, but it would be nice having a place out in Sandy Shores, or Paleto Bay, or even some of the beaches. I'm more interested in what the 5 new contact missions are. Better not be some crappy Simeion, Gerald, or Lamar mission.

 

Can't wait to read the official Changelog to see all the "fixes" they made too.
