I believe the way R* recently worded it made it sound that way. I don't have the link, but I think I remember reading Tinsel, Eclipse, and Richards areas...

It has been stated on R* Newswire that RM and Eclipse are going to have new apartments, while the picture shown would indicate Tinsel. The other two of the five have not yet been confirmed, but I would not get my hopes up that those two are in an entirely new building.

It has been stated on R* Newswire that RM and Eclipse are going to have new apartments, while the picture shown would indicate Tinsel. The other two of the five have not yet been confirmed, but I would not get my hopes up that those two are in an entirely new building.

 

Exactly Rockstar have been known to over hype future DLC that when they arrived were dissapointing. Remember when everyone was hyped about the Business update and a lot of players had there fingers crossed for the SA Jester and Alpha but when they were released as 21st Century cars evryone was dissapointed (Including me, A Supra would've been amazing now the Jester is known for its chromable body and Joker smile like front grille) so don't expect any new Property spots.

Only 5 new apartments in the same old locations seem to suck

basically this. I truly have a gift of prophecy. R* is on crack if they think I'm going to be grinding or dishing out REAL $$$ to buy the same damned safehouse address my char currently lives in.

 

R* vision of multiple properties = a whopping TWO properties at hacker and modder FUBAR locations the likes of Eclipse Towers. Fail R*. Fail. Why the f*ck can't we buy MORE THAN 2 HOMES at NEW LOCATIONS on the map? Why can't we buy say--A HOUSE--or ANY HOUSE WITH A REAL ESTATE FOR SALE SIGN ON IT? Why can't my char buy a shack up in Paleto Bay? Or a ranch house up in Blaine county? Why the f*ck is my char still restricted to living in the city FFS???

 

The only thing that would have swayed me on the multiple properties is if they ADDED NEW REAL CONTENT OF THINGS TO DO IN THE NEW INTERIORS. sh*t like

 

1. adding premium features like a pool table, darts board, in ground jaccuzi hot tub. Why the f*ck are we still NOT ABLE TO ACCESS ANY BALCONY AREAS IN THE HIGH RISE SAFE HOUSE BTW??? Btw, high rise balcony apts serve another great game feature for those Scubadave fanboys who burn through all the new content within hours of the DLC coming out. They could swan dive without a parachute off one of these when they get bored of all their new sh*t. And upload selfies to RGSC on the way down. In terms of added game play value, a feature like that would be EPIC IMO.

 

2. being able to use the bath tub or existing shower to bathe and remove scars & bruises from your face and body. The only way to do so now is by switching servers. Or by sleeping for a length of time based on what you specified back in character creation. Why the f*ck can't they add a first aid kit to the bathroom like back in SP? So your char can use the first aid pick up to remove the unsightly scars/bruises? Why the f*ck is my char still unable to drink beer in his safe house? Or buy it at Ammunation or the convenience store? Why the f*ck can't he order some pizza by smart phone and have an NPC deliver it to his safe house? Why can't he order take out to eat and regain health? Or save it for later use etc. etc.

 

3.Having a new animation which lets your char use the bathroom mirror/sink to shave or wear make up. Except this animation would give your char the ability to change their hair and facial appearance only once a day. This gives you another convenient option besides visiting the barber IMO.

 

4. Giving us back sandbox activities like a gambling table (where players can invite in friends and play cards, dominoes etc) and gamble to win GTA$

 

5. Like giving us back the ability for hot coffee stripper interactions. Why can't you invite more than 1 stripper NPC to your new safe houses and throw a party with friends?

 

6. Like making the GTA V world MORE INTERACTIVE. Why can't they add a random event at the Gentry playboy manor and throw a really big party with NPCs? Why can't you get such a random invite to such an NPC or player party on your smartphone? Why aren't there more playboy bunny looking female NPCs there? etc. etc. etc. etc. Fail R*. Epic fail in so many ways.

 

7. Like adding a mini dating feature where you can use LifeInvader to meet NPCs. Then take them on a date somewhere in LC. If you're one of the ppl who hate the dating feature, you could always use this feature to lure unsuspecting NPCs to an early demise

 

8. Like adding the ability to go hunting like back in SP. Except this time, only a specific number of wildlife would randomly spawn in a specific map area at certain times, instead of all over the map. Just like the way armored vans or Simeon's special vehicles spawn. Since spawning animals would create lag issues, only limit the wildlife spawns to 6-12 animals like deer, cougar etc. in a specified area like near the lumber mill. Or an isolated location up in Blaine county/Sandy Shores/Grapeseed etc. You would get random messages where these hunting zones where from your smart phone, or from a radio advertisement, or even a TV ad. On the subject of Simeon, WHY DOESN'T SIMEON GIVE YOU A WATER VEHICLE REPO MISSION BTW??? WHY CAN'T WE STEAL NPC WATER VEHICLES AND SELL THEM AT A CHOP SHOP MARKER AT THE MW DOCKS???

 

9. Like the ability to go fishing and collect seafood like oysters, crabs, lobsters as food when diving off your boat into the ocean. Giving you yet another reason to own water craft, which tactically IMO, have been so god damned useless in the game to date (thanks to the lack of water based missions etc) Being able to keep this food in your inventory to eat in a fire fight. Selling it to the convenience stores. Or adding some convenience store script to those useless store shells at the beach pier and allowing you to sell them seafood and other sh*t to make money. Or best yet, being able to take home any food you buy/find and saving it in the fridge for later use.

 

10. More variety in competitive activities where Invite only/Solo players can make decent money aka $10k+ by winning SP styled Beat the Cock marathons. Or even more money/RP if doing it in a regular FM session with randoms/friends.

 

11. Like adding more frigging water based missions that require swimming, diving, holding your breath underwater so that----wait no----wouldn't it be far more convenient to do these using NEW SHINY DLC SCUBA GEAR??? Oh no hang on---that's not coming with the new DLC.

12. HEISTS. Where the f*ck is this absurdly over hyped feature??? Fail R*. Fail.

 

Now I know I truly have a gift of predicting the future. I KNEW they were going to end up shafting the fan base like this.

 

IMO, the only good feature coming with the DLC is the no contact racing feature. At least clean racers can now host challenging, fair race lobbies and win only by pure driving skill. So they no longer have to suffer those no talent @$$hat chradder whores who engage in bumper hump fests throughout every f*cking race.

Personally I'm looking forward to the legion of people bitching and moaning outside of the bitch-and-moan thread about every minor detail as if they had tons of experience developing video games and knew what they were talking about, with multiple people replicating the same complaint threads that we've heard a thousand times as if their opinion matters.

 

But the thrust looks kind of cool, I wonder if it'll stand up to the bati though.
