Mark
Watched the Anderlecht Arsenal highlights. How we got the 3 points out of it I've no idea but it didn't look like we deserved them. Get it to-bloody-gether.
Doc Rikowski
Can someone explain me why this goal was not given? There's a defender on the line goal so where's the offside? I'm asking it cause according to all press the goal was invalid but then I'm missing some bit of the offside rule... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cb_aY3lNurg

Ducard
There are no real Bayern-Fans. Most of the "supporters" don't have a clue about football and are basically glory hunters. It's funny you should say that, because in the Premier League we have this team called manchester united...Oh the irony. Sorry, had to. Eram
@Doc - I can't see the video atm (or any other, damn websense software @work!) but, from what I quickly saw yesterday, there was a defender on the goal line but the gk was advanced and there was no other defending player there, so it seemed a good call. There must be at least 2 players (1 is usually the GK, but not in this case) for it not to be off-side. Edit - Still about Schalke-Sporting. Even Schalke's Director Horst Heldt (known for being critic to the goal line referees "technology") sympathized with Sporting protest. He ironized by saying "Super Platini" and also stated that if it was with Schalke he would be really angry. Doc Rikowski
Yeah, I just re-read the rules and now I get it. It seems a bit of a stupid rule when applied to that situation but well, can't do anything about it. It was offside, by the book.

Ducard
3-0 against Real Madrid, or losing 4-0 against MK Dons? Can't speak for Utd fans, but I personally would rather have Barca lose 4-0 against CE Sabadell than lose against Real Madrid tomorrow. It's going to be an epic weekend of football, Real vs Barca, Chelsea vs Man United. Hopefully we can grab a win. (Although being realistic, a draw would be decent) Oh and Suarez is going to make his debut as well. I am not a fan of him (obviously) but it will be interesting to see how he fits into our style of play. Although I would definitely bet on him and Pepe getting into a fight half way through the game. Crokey
3-0 down and still singing, probably if half the glory hunters knew what the offside rule was then they'd shut up when they were losing. Pot/Kettle? (only because I thought a sh*t flinging gif would look a little out of place) Bottom line, fans are feeling the pinch, because overall the economy is making things tight and football is a luxury to go and see these days due to prices being so high and transport costs to get to venues is high so you can't expect to fill out a stadium every single week, especially when playing so many more games due to cups and European competition. FranklinDeRoosevelt
Well it's our only major chance of putting pressure on our defence. If they can get through a devastating attack from Chelsea in the first half, then they will get used to it in the second. Falcao and Van Persie will be a great duo and although I'm keeping my expectations low and not expecting goals, great football from the attacking is what I'm definitely looking forward to. Fellaini has been great in the previous match so no doubt he's going to be with Mata and Blind behind them. The defence is what I'm really f*cking worried about, if they can hold up, it means we're making progress and they can learn from this game big time. But I'm expecting disaster from us due to nervousness and pressure. Edit: Di Maria and Hererra are fit to play in the upcoming game! That's good news for us Edited October 24, 2014 by FranklinDeRoosevelt
Max
Everyone shut the f*ck up. Football is back. Crokey and Joe, I'm going to the game today. I hope to see Aguero have a rare off day, Toure to sulk, Zabaleta to be uncharacteristically out of his depth leading to an early red then maybe a Joe Hart clanger to finish the day. Max
My lord what a game. Very happy and very very drunk right now. What was the result... oh right I couldn't tell over the loud Big Sam out chants PS Shut up Meg Max I don't understand this criticism. It's just Shearer being a Wally. Last season we were absolutely, objectively horrible, awful. The team lacked quality, but Sam's approach didn't help. People had every right to voice their unhappiness, I was at the 6-0 thumping we got at the Ethiad, we as fans deserved better than that. However, he listened, made some excellent signings and has got the team playing fantastically. Fair play Sam. The 'Big Sam out' brigade are quiet because they got what they asked for, attacking exciting football. I'm not sure what some wanky pundits are expecting? Most fans don't irrationally boo a manager, they judge what is put before them, and right now we're f*cking loving it.
Ducard
I'm very annoyed right now, not because we lost but because they decided to put BADMINTON instead of EL CLASICO.
