Watched the replay again, to me it seems Blackett f*cked things up on all, 3rd, 4th and then made the pen for the 5th. 2nd goal wasn't a penalty, but Clattenburg is a Liverpool fan right? So it's kind of expected he gave that one in.

 

Still beast goals by Di Maria and Herrera though. With Rooney and Falcao, it's the best attack in Europe atm, but it can't do magic if defence fails like that. Kind of same with Liverpools attack last year and their defence.

Kudos to the referee today as well. They get so much sh*t when they do wrong so only fair to commend them for a good performance. Should have given a peno to Chelsea for Yaya's handball but other than that.

I have to say, United's defence is TERRIBLE. I knew Blackett is an inconsistent defender, we need to get another CB ASAP. Our attack is BEASTLY but we have holes in our defence, which I don't know how. I feel very ashamed right now. However, I have to say the referee gave away a VERY bad penalty decision against us. Looking forward to the next game.

What's all this about Utd having the best attack in Europe. They don't even have the best attack in the prem, never mind in Europe. They've scored the same amount of goals as West Ham, Leicester and Southampton. Having a good attack isn't just about the names of your strikers. Plus it's finding the right balance overall as a team between attack and defence, and still being a potent attacking threat which is key. It's all well and good really going for it and scoring a bunch of goals, but it's not much use if the other team outscores you. Any (decent) team can throw everything at a team and come away with 2 or 3 goals, but by doing so you're going to open yourself up to conceding just as many if not more. I wouldn't really call that a good attack. I'm not saying Utd are doing that, I'm just saying it's way too early to start calling them the best attack in Europe or the Prem just because they've got some good names up front and in attack.

 

Anywaaaaaays. Glad with the point against City, although it is slightly disappointing since we were 1-0 up against 10 men. Still love Frank, but goddamn why did it have to be him. Still 5 points clear of our main title rivals so happy overall. Thought the ref had a bad game in general, especially in the first 20 minutes or so. City were trying to close us down and pressure us but they were committing foul after foul, putting in late challenge after late challenge and the ref gave nothing at all. It wasn't fair closing down it was just blatant fouls. Could and probably should have had a pen too with Toure having his arms outstretched the way they were.

Also, if you think Falcao (one of the best in the world), RVP and Rooney are not major threats, then it's a massive shame on you. Okay get your cheap knee-jerk reaction laughs in as always. What I expect after every United loss even since the Fergie days

 

I believe we have the best best attack in Europe and it's already been shown. Falcao still needs game time yet still managed to get an assist. 7 goals in two games with our new formed team is not bad at all. Whatever happened to builing a dynasty in football? In this day and age, a few losses to a big club and they I instantly become a laughing stock on sh*tting social media and forums. I think people forget the saying , 'Rome wasn't built in a day' We lost an incredible manager and made the wrong appointment straight after. We now have a foreign manager who has never managed in the Prem and has made a lot of changes including selling a lot of players, losing experienced senior players, buying a lot of new players and most importantly introducing a new philosophy and system. A lot has changed and forget the world class players we have, it's going to take a minute for us to get back properly. Do I think we'll finish top four? Yes. I think we'll do enough to get back in the CL. Win the league? Nope, that's between Chelsea and City.

 

I get rival fans and everything taking the piss at United after we lose. We've had that stick for years even under the great Sir Alex. But patience is non exsistent in modern day football and it annoys me. I have family members that tell me about the early days of the Fergie era and how much stick Fergie got and how much United were getting slaughtered but in the end the supporters had the last laugh and more importantly Fergie had the last laugh. Back then though, managers had more time to build teams. Now in football we have f*cking twitter where 10 year old spoilt twats go on and 'tweet' their disapproval of a new manager after one loss but don't have a f*cking idea on how much time and effort it takes to manage a club especially Manchester United where the expectancy in van Gaal to succeed is as high as ever and let's face it, everybody around the world watch United or check up on how they did. The pressure mounts very quickly and I even after all the awful decisions he made I still respect Moyes for the sheer effort and passion he put into the United job last season. It didn't work out and fair enough these things happen in football. Now I get the banter and that rivals doing sh*t as I even join in himself ofc but even by the media Moyes got the total piss took out of him. Not one article came out by a newspaper writing about how much time and effort he put into the job all they did was take digs at him left right and centre.

 

tl;dr stfu and give managers time to do their job and modern day football sucks (sometimes)
