inb4 "it's only QPR"

Seriously though, that was a much needed performance, Di Maria was immense. Falcao could have gotten one or two too which would have been the icing on the cake.

This is the warning sign of our comeback!

But yeah, I guess we will have to wait for the next match to prove that United are a whole new team.

Great performance from us yesterday. Di Maria is an unbelievable player, can't believe people questioned his price tag. All of our new signings were brilliant which was good to see. To have a proper defensive midfielder sitting in front of the back four made it so such much better and easier.

Lovely stuff :^: I quite like that jersey too, I wish Utd would come out with another black one.

Not a lot of teams in the world play with a "Chequered pattern design". I know Aston Villa did last year. Anyways, This Years kits are pretty cool exept the Alternative one.

And the Croatian national team. But few teams are chequered like Sabadell. The ones i recall are; Bristol Rovers, C.E. Mercantil (Dosen't really count beacuse they also play in Sabadell and both clubs are "family") and Aston Villa (Last Year). Also Northern Ireland had a chequered jersey.

bristol rovers are quartered, not checkered. they also play in the fifth tier of english football and are sh*te

I thought "Checkered" was the right word. And no, they are not sh*te... The problem is money. Give them 400m€ and in four to five years they will be playing in the Premier League.

You could say that about any team playing in the lower divisions.

You could say that about any team. PERIOD.

Just look at Malaga a few years ago getting almost to the Champions Semifinals

Aye. Just look at City.

We have also a team like that: RB Leipzig (RasenBallsport = Lawn ball sport but secretely it is Red Bull)

260px-RB_Leipzig_2014_logo.svg.png

2009 they were in the fifth highest league, now they are second place in the second higest league and could play Bundesliga next year

Luckly not all teams with money survive. UE Llagostera from the town "Llagostera" (Look it up in google maps it is very little town) was in fourth division, The richest family in town bought the club and since they have tons of money, they bought good players. They kept winning leagues until last year they made it to the final playoff to go to Second Division. That game was Llagostera vs Nastic from Tarragona.

Llagostera did win but this was the price (Llagostera Blue and red jersey, Nastic white jersey):

Llagostera being unSportive

0:02min

0:41min

Llagostera fans being as$holes not wanting to give the ball back:

2:43 min

Llagostera fans being as$holes throwing another ball back to the field when the game is going to start:

3:07 min

Threats to the referees after the game is over

9:14 min

Llagostera fans assault Nastic fans

11:58 min

Other video from the fight:

Llagostera is a team that nobody in Catalonia likes.

Not that secret.

and oh aye all Bristol rovers need is a good £400m, I think they have that lying under the couch cushions. If a team got that capital and did not get back-to-back promotions all the way up to the championship then into the premiership within 3 years of that then it is utterly wasted cash and everyone who was involved with spending it should be on every single "no loan" list in existence and should have a special money guard with them to make sure they don't buy magic beans.

That aside a few teams have done that in England over the years but taken like 8-10 years to get from level 4 to now, Hull did it, Fulham, Swansea, Portsmouth went the other way. Fulham and Swansea did not get massive investment to do it, probably significant investment but not like £400m all that is needed for any club in the 4th tier or below is good management, if they are situated in a city then they have a better chance unless it is London which is already saturated, however if it is something like Rochdale, less of a catchment area, however Bristol Rovers could very well climb a bit. So don't be expecting the newly promoted Brighouse town rocket up 7 levels to be in the premiership, or even enough to make it into the football league or conference premier, not happening.

^^ the only other time I have seen a ref rushed off like that for fear of harm is when Chelsea lost to Barca in those controversial circumstances.

They are going to be massive. Red Bull don't f*ck around. Leipzig will be Bayern's main rival for the Bundesliga title in 4 or 5 years time.

I am not that much into club football. Did they buy players from the Bundesliga? Not sure how much money they have got.

Personally, I don't like football teams solely based on one company but on the other hand I think it is very good to have a team from East Germany (I com from there) that will probably play in the Bundesliga in the future. The people from the East want to have first class football teams again. But with the economical situation is very difficult. From the financial standpoint there are only a few cities that could build a team, that is able to survive in the Bundesliga: Dresden, Leipzig, Chemnitz, Potsdam, Berlin (East Part).

In England you have Chelsea and Manchester City that made a huge step over the last years with billionaires standing behind. You could argue that with all the money it is not a fair competition anymore, but it has never been fair if you think all teams should have a similar amount of money to buy players. Putting that aside, nobody can argue that it hase made the Premier League more competitive at the top and better in European competition. Personally I would prefer it, when the clubs do it like Dortmund and raise their capital through giving out new stocks to their biggest sponsor partners. But the club should not be owned by one single company in my opinion.

Want to see fair football? Watch Bundesliga 2, Serie B, The Championship, Liga Adelante, Ligue 2... 19/22 teams with basically the same budget more less

Punk-in-Drublic

Ludogoretz are not to be underestimated, they gave us a shock tonight. Liverpool need to stop playing a 4-3-3 and start playing that diamond formation more with up top, Sterling is only at his best down the centre and we clearly miss Sturridge. Ah well a win is a win, glad to see Balotelli score a decent first goal in a red shirt as well. Bring on West Ham on Saturday.

I'm gutted the Dortmund/Arsenal game clashed with us, bet it was a cracker.

Also, I got this bad boy in the mail today.

Yes they are expensive as hell, mine was over 100€. I have never bought a football shirt before, but this one is special. I would really like to know how many were sold as of now.

Or you deliberately went for the pre-4th star one? :)
