Banks.
The Falcao saga is quite interesting. I hope we sign him just to piss off Arsenal and City fans. Hopefully Cleverley gets sold today but apparently he's not taking the wages offered to him by Villa. Greedy prick.
Mark
Bloody hell, they're trying to get him £60k despite being on £55k at United? What are his representatives smoking? No idea where Falcao will end up by the end of today. I hope it's Arsenal, simply because we need a centre forward that isn't injured or called Sanogo. Banks.
Strong reports that Falcao is on his way to United! SSN is saying a private jet from France is due to land in Manchester at 4:50PM. f*ck I love deadline day Yep Ballbag on SSN saying he's signed for 65M Euros but now all the reliable United journalists are saying he's signed on Loan. Are we playing the 2-3-5? CONFIRMED: WE'VE SIGNED FALCAO ON LOAN! So van Persie is apparently out for 3 months, we've loaned Hernandez to Madrid and signed Falcao on loan. SouthLand
We got robbed. Everybody is saying the same thing. 1. Penalty to Raul Tamudo that the referee didn't want to see. 2. Penalty to Carlos Hernandez that the Referee didn't want to see 3. Penalti for Barça when the african player dives. 4. The referee gives out a Red Card to a Sabadell player not innolved in the penalty mentioned in #3 when 5. The referee again gives FC Barcelona a penalti when they dive again. Robbed at gun point by the f*cking referee. Edited September 1, 2014 by SouthLand GroundZero
GroundZero
To be honest, I can't see how Falcao, along with Di Maria, are going to solve MU's issues... If anything, the team needs better defenders.

If anything, the team needs better defenders. He's a replacement for Hernandez/van Persie (if he is out for a long time) Plus he's only on loan and apparently it's costing us £5M-£6M + wages etc which is a bargain for a player of Falcao's quality. We're getting Blind too. FranklinDeRoosevelt

Doc Rikowski
Not the best outcome for Falcao. He could have played the CL for Monaco or for Juve and fight also for a national title in France or Italy, but instead of this he's going to play just the PL and not even in a club favorite to win it. He must be pretty pissed with his agent. Edited September 1, 2014 by Doc Rikowski Der_Don
Banks.
Isn't Jorge Mendes his agent? We have a very good relationship with him. United: Rooney, van Persie, Falcao City: Aguero, Joevetic, Dzeko Liverpool: Balotelli, Sturridge Chelsea: Costa, Drogba, Remy Arsenal: Grioud, Sanogo They desperately need a number 9. Joseph Cooke
Did not see that coming. Surprised we didn't make more of an effort for Falcao if the rumours about Negredo are indeed true. Belter signing for united. Richards to Fiorentina, not so much surprised at this. Only a loan deal however. Hopefully this gives him more of a chance in the England squad (not that I'm too worried about that), imo there aren't many English RBs as solid as him. Can see us maybe making another signing by the end of the night. Perhaps a subtle £300 Million bid for Messi. f*ck FFP Edited September 1, 2014 by Joseph Cooke
GTA_stu
Is Falcao allergic to champions league football or something. Went to Monaco, and they didn't have CL football. This season they get it, and he goes to Utd, who don't have CL football. No doubt he'll sign for Arsenal next season the first time they come 5th. You already have Aguero, Dzeko and Jovetic for that position. Negredo being out shouldn't affect you in the slightest.

GTA_stu
Getting Falcao is undoubtedly a great signing, but you guys still need a centre back and probably a centre mid as well. More so than you need a striker. Although more than anything, you need to give that ridiculous 3-5-2/3-4-1-2 a c*nt punt and leave it well alone. I'm actually really surprised by this Falcao move, my friend told me and I thought he was having a laugh. Arsenal must be kicking themselves, they really do need a top striker and he would have been ideal. Not a lot for them to go for now. Arsenal must be kicking themselves, they really do need a top striker and he would have been ideal. Not a lot for them to go for now. I think people are speaking too soon on our defense tbh. We haven't even seen how Shaw, Rojo and even Blind will fit in there and how good they'll actually be. Blind will cover us in the middle of the park and in defense but I expect him to play in midfield mainly. 3-5-2 is like a temporary formation, I would be very surprised if we stuck with it. These rumors about RvP being out for a long time due to surgery and obviously us loaning Hernandez to Madrid has forced us to go for Falcao. £5M-£6M for Falcao for a season is a bargain imo and we have the option to buy him at the end of the season which is great. Doesn't sound like we'll be making another signing but you never know. If I was van Gaal I would be asking Woody to get a decent midfielder who is available on the cheap or even on loan would do. Vercetti42
United already have Shaw, rojo and blind for defense. Not a world class lineup but decent enough. Blind has also played under van gaal before so that is a bonus. also good win for us. Glad to see another one of our youth players get a goal on debut. Happy to see sociedad beat real too. Max
But the problem is United fans, you don't have a single CB that would get anywhere near a Top 6's team. It's all well and good saying how Rojo, Blind and Shaw could bolster your back line but they're all full-backs by trade. The problems still lie through the middle. We don't really, a replacement for RVP is smart business, especially since we let Chicha go. Not a bad lineup as it stands, not exactly horribly desperate for Defenders or midfielders..
