GTA_stu
West Brom looked really poor and I think they'll go down, but I suppose that's what you get for appointing Ted Crilly as your manager.
Max
West Brom did look wank, you're right. Swansea playing well though and looking strong so fair play to Gary Monk.
Hodgey.
I thought Swansea might of struggled a bit this year especially with a few of the players they have lost and with the fact that at the end of last season Monk didn't really get off to a great managerial start. Good start though and if they dont have many injures they should be fine, if they do pick up injures though could get a bit tough for them. GTA_stu
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/2900 Is he serious or what (Martinez saying Costa needs to "learn respect" because he had a dig at Coleman after the own goal). So it's OK for his players to be putting elbows in a players back and using other underhand tactics in order to try rile Costa up and get him sent off, but if he replies and gives a bit back by taking the piss after the number 1 perpetrator scores an own goal, suddenly Costa is the one at fault. Apparently it's also OK for Howard to provocatively come charging out and put his head in another player's face, but heaven forbid someone sledges one of his players who'd been trying to get someone sent off all game. He also conveniently overlooked Mirallas' deliberate stamp on Fabregas' hand. I normally really like Martinez, but he just sounds like a hypocritical cry baby. Just saw Mourinho on SSN saying other players shouldn't try to get other players wound up and sent off, it's not the way things are done in England? That's just as hypocritical. Does he say this when his players all run around the ref trying to get opposition players sent off? No. The minute when Mourinho stops being hypocritical then he can comment on other teams and players and vice versa for Martinez and any other manager for that matter. GTA_stu
Yes all managers are hypocritical to a degree, but Martinez is just taking it to a whole new level with his comments there. Edited August 31, 2014 by stu
flitcroft101
It's funny because Costa is usually a piece of sh*t on the pitch, he was the most hated in Spain. There wasn't a stadium he could go to without being shredded by the home fans due to him constantly fighting, spitting, fouling, trying to wind up other players - which he was actually really good at. I remember him spitting on his hand and slapping the sh*t out of Pepe & Ramos. I think he has been extremely well behaved in England so far, I don't think he did much wrong in the Everton game despite the players trying to attack him. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1646824-atletico-madrid-diego-costa-falcaos-successor-and-la-ligas-most-hated-player I say give him a year and he will become just as hated as Luis Suarez especially if he wins. They adore Balotelli, Every sports network has their favourites and they bloody show it, for Sky it is English teams in the CL (understandable) and in PL it is Liverpool and United, possibly city too but not as much as the 2 mentioned, they bag on Arsenal a bit unfairly. FranklinDeRoosevelt
Van Gaal? He just came to United so I don't know why you're bringing him up. He has to manage a massive team that have gracefully fallen since Moyes era. As for real manager, Van Gaal is as real as he gets. Just check his excellent history at Barca, Ajax and Munich. Kagawa is skinny as it is. But he doesn't have strength. He needs strength training to play in the Premier League, hence why he got concussed over a slight clash in the MK Dons game. But yes, he will play amazingly at Dortmund. Edited August 31, 2014 by FranklinDeRoosevelt

We are after Falcao, so are other clubs. Robin's injury might be the reason. He'll be expensive but we're not in any f*cking way afraid to splash the cash, eh? Jim White Day just got a lot better. Last year, we were moving so slow that even Fellaini moved ahead. f*ck it. The leaks. The transfers. The everything. Mexico's manager just confirmed Hernandez is off to Madrid. Still don't know why we're in for Falcao. Vidal seems distant. God, I love this day. Edited September 1, 2014 by Inactive
