Nlwt
I don't know a great deal about Guarin. Probably seen him play 2 games. I thought he was younger than 28 if I'm honest.
Vercetti42
^ That's what I was thinking lol. Where did you hear we were close to signing Guarin? Hopefully we don't sign him, I was reading the Inter forums not long ago and it seems like Inter fans really think he's sh*t. We should be doing everything to get Di Maria. Di Maria is a great player. Personally, I rate him above Bale.

GTA_stu
27 years is not old. If anything it's a perfect age. He'll be in his prime for the next 3 or 4 years. Yup. Plus Utd don't need any more young or inexperienced defenders, they've got plenty of that already. What they lack is proven experience and quality, which Benatia would give them. More so than Rojo. Honestly 27 is not old at all, I don't get why some people live in this Logan's Run alternate reality where anyone over or close to 30 is somehow deemed too old. Max
27 is not at all old for a CB, you could conceivably get 8 more seasons from him. In other, non-United news, Balotelli to Liverpool looks very much on. I don't really see how he'd fit in as he's very much an 'in the box' type of striker, doesn't work particularly hard so I can't see him busting a gut to keep up with a counter attack which is what Liverpool would ask of him. Still, would be interesting to have him back in the prem I suppose. Also, have you guys seen the Mackay/Moody rumours? Here. Absolutely disgusting if true and I can see why Palace pulled the plug on him taking over.
Vercetti42
I don't get why people say '30 years' is old for a footballer. I don't think it's that way anymore. Look at players like Toure, Gerrard, Barry, Ronaldo, van Persie, John Terry..etc. They are all 30 years or above 30 years of age and are in good form. SouthLand
I wish a Sheikh from Dubai could buy RCD Espanyol and pump in 300m€ so they can become the best team in Barcelona... Some day. Why Espanyol and not Sabadell? Because Espanyol is in 1st division.
GTA_stu
Also, have you guys seen the Mackay/Moody rumours? Here. Absolutely disgusting if true and I can see why Palace pulled the plug on him taking over. Honestly I don't think it's that bad. It's private texts and emails between 2 people, and we don't know the context. If you searched most people's texts and e-mails you'd be hard pressed to find anyone that comes out smelling of roses. rhyn
Well that's Malky Mackay out of a career looks like. Silly bugger. Going to be very hard to live down racist, sexist and homophobic texts about players and agents. SRS Incorporated

I 100% agree that private conversations between people wheter they are racists, homophobic etc should never be used against them (E.g Donald Sterling). That being said though in this case I heard that some of the texts where sent on the club's phones so you could say that the texts where always open to be looked at by club officals (Again just a rumor not sure if this is entirely true) Lastly I dont understand why Cardiff have waited till now to release this information. It almost seems like they where waiting till Mackay was going to get hired again and they wanted to ruin him. cactus.
So, Balotelli to Liverpool? That's going to be weird. I wouldn't be too pleased if I were a Liverpool fan. For every goal he can score, he's got an equal chance to pick up a needless booking. Nlwt
GTA_stu
£16 million is the apparent price. I was pretty shocked it was that cheap, seems like a really good deal to me. Yh he's a volatile nutter but he's a talented one and that's the thing that people care about.
Banks.
I'm unsure if Balotelli will be a good signing for Liverpool. It could turn out to be a brilliant buy but you never know what you're going to get with Balotelli. On his day he's class but when he's not 100% focused he's sh*te. In other, non-United news, Balotelli to Liverpool looks very much on. I cucked Alex Jones
This certainly makes Tan look like slightly less of a pantomime villain. Balotelli to Liverpool is awesome. If he keeps his head down though, he could become a great player.

It's going to be either Cech or Torres. There's a rumour going around that Roma want Torres (on loan, maybe) and are willing to send Destro the other way. Destro's rated at 20m and would definitely be a better second choice striker than Torres. I wish this deal goes through.

GTA_stu
The only commercial value he now has lies solely with his body as a resource. So either we pimp him out as a gigolo, or we just sell his bone marrow off to the highest bidder and melt him down to glue. Girish
TheFunkyBunch
I Think Torres should of Left Chelsea years Ago and Gone back to Atletico and try to build his Reputation back up lets face it his never going to do that at chelsea im still Stunned that it seems Mourinho rates him Above Lukaku.
GTA_stu
He doesn't necessarily rate him above Lukaku. I'm sure Mourinho would have loved to have kept Lukaku, but he's young and he wants to be able to play games and be a regular starter. He wouldn't have got that with Chelsea. Letting him go was a move which benefited Lukaku as well as us. He gets to play games and be happy and we received a nice healthy sum of money. Just because he let him go and kept Torres (so far), it doesn't mean he thinks Torres is better than Lukaku.
