A J
Real Madrid paid the Bale fee to win La Decima. He scored the goal that won them La Decima and the goal that won them the kings cup... in his FIRST season. I think Bale has done his job already. Yeah man, scoring two goals, one of which was through the talent of another player, totally means that he is worth 100 million. Best players in the World command huge transfer fee's, What RM paid for Bale, is up there with what they paid for C Ronaldo. You're also forgetting his age, versatility and the importance of those goals, plus the value he had to Spurs before being sold. What's the Lampard / City deal all about? Inactive
He's playing 'good guy', this Frank guy. No danger of being called a traitor just because he laid down that condition. Hmm. And the Vidal saga just keeps getting better. Still not panicking because Louis knows what he's doing. Nobody knew what Moyes was doing. The difference. Girish
What's the Lampard / City deal all about? MLS doesn't start until next year, so he's joining City on a six month loan. Similar to David Villa joining Melbourne FC on a six month loan. That'll keep him fit for when the MLS start. Apparently, he has also asked Pellegrini to not play him against Chelsea. Mark
I suppose even if Pellegrini put him on against Chelsea he could just do something like a sit down protest on the pitch or take his shirt off twice or something silly and get sent off. I'm sure he'll get his wish. It's just a shame Chelsea can't take him on for training, use him in the league cup and not name him for the PL squad. Banks.
We beat Madrid 3-1 yesterday. Must say I've really enjoyed this pre-season. We've played against good teams (expect LA Galaxy) and we've beat them all while playing very good football. The 3-4-2-1 formation is working well and what the f*ck has happened to Ashley Young? Credit to him, he's working hard and has adapted to the left wing back role. Been one of the best players this pre-season and I hope he carries this on into the new season so he can shut up all the Young bashing retards. United v Liverpool in the final. Looking forward to it. Punk-in-Drublic
Emre Can https:///v/M97II20tL5l f*cking hell, he's a tank! I feel kinda sorry for AC Milan, they aren't even a shadow of what their old teams were. Infact, I feel sorry for Italian football all together, it's gone sh*te. I'm shocked too. Young played fantastic. Just before he scored, the passing was glorious. I wonder how many other talents have been locked away in the club, dayum lol Edited August 3, 2014 by FranklinDeRoosevelt

Mr Rabbit
Good signs coming from this pre-season, last pre-season was dreadful i think we only beat the aussies on tour. Might only be friendlies but if you do sh*t in preseason you'll probably do sh*t in the actual season, as United did last time. All I can really say is that signs are good. Hoping for a few more signings, and hoping this formation stays, I have always thought rooney and RVP should be both up front and with Mata behind them, screams goals, just need the 3 centre backs to be good which means we need to sign one or 2 worldies. Vercetti42
Xavi retires from international football today. Not exactly a shock but it's still a shame to see one of the best playmakers ever to retire. I don't think Spain would get another duo like Xavi and Iniesta, they were just too amazing to be true. Mark
I hope not. When you consider Liverpool are back up there, Arsenal's 4th place is under threat.
Waddy
I hope not. When you consider Liverpool are back up there, Arsenal's 4th place is under threat. Arsenal are much stronger than Liverpool now. Sanchez along with Walcott back, Ramsey at full fitness too. If I was Chelsea and City I would be more concerned with Arsenal than Liverpool who have been weakened badly. _Kindled_ and LiniArc

Rooney scoring again, pleased with the result Normal service resumed? Honestly from what I've seen I would say we're back. This new philosophy van Gaal has introduced has us all giddy. Not just the fans but the players. We now have Mata playing in his best position, Rooney playing up top with van Persie we just need a midfielder and an experienced centre back and that's us sorted. Liverpool fielded a very strong side and looked up for it same with us. They were better first half but the second half was quite one sided with us scoring three and looking much better. No point getting carried away yet but I'd certainly say we're getting there. Only time will tell, but it's always a good feeling beating Liverpool. Max
How are Liverpool looking? I caught their first half against City the other day but if you've seen them for 90 minutes I'd like to know what you think? By the way, we're looking sh*t. I caught their first half against City the other day but if you've seen them for 90 minutes I'd like to know what you think? Liverpool pressed us really well first half but apart from that they weren't up to much. Sterling played well though. My mate (LIverpool fan) has been telling me that Lambert has been sh*t all pre-season and doesn't fit in their team. Tbh, when we played them other night he did nothing and did look like he was struggling. We'll see once the season starts.
Hodgey.
How are Liverpool looking? Banks.
I think Max was wanting Big Sam out last season. Most West Ham fans feel like that. They want to see entertaining football rather than the drivel Big Sam wants them to play. The thing is, I think Big Sam is good at was he does. You know, avoiding relegation maybe pushing for mid table. West Ham have a good academy and background, if they got a better/ambitious manager you never know... Since we're on about West Ham, isn't it the last season at Upton Park for them? Max
jaidev
Friendlies not going the way it was last season ..even though City scored 5 against Milan just like last season. We have been like England in penalty shootouts. I hope Jovetic keeps on scoring like this though
Nlwt
Jovetic will have a great season imo. He just needs to stay injury free and he'll be fighting for the top scorer this season. As for Lambert, he's looked pretty dull all pre-season. Means nothing until the real season starts though. I can't see him being very prolific at Liverpool if I'm honest.
