Oh man if only we'd won last week. Still enjoyable to take the title away from Liverpool though. Up until today I kinda wanted them to win it over Man City, but I firmly changed my mind. So funny that it was Gerrard as well that cocked it up for them.

 

It was a great performance though, another Mourinho master class.

I'll give credit to Chelsea for winning the game, however we where the better team with the ball but Chelsea set themselves up well like they did midweek and capitalised on a mistake. Hopefully Palace can do us a favour as I've always secretly loved Palace, definetly the team I'd support if Liverpool didn't exist

Question for the Chelsea fans: How did that compare from your perspective to the City game, as in terms of style of play and how you were set up, not the affect on the league etc, just game based stuff?

 

The reason I ask is that I can't judge myself having been on the receiving end of the result at City, so what say you?

Well we defended deeper against Liverpool I'd say and didn't look to get forward in as greater numbers as we did against City. We set up to counter in both games, but were slightly more attacking against City. Today was much more smash and grab and we parked the bus more. I don't think we parked it against City.

Everton seem to have dropped off a bit recently though and I also can't see Liverpool dropping many more points, and yet we need both Man City and Liverpool to drop 3 points because of their better GD. If this league went with La Liga's system of head to head over GD we'd stand a much better chance. Atletico just beat Valencia 1-0, they've got 3 games left and are 6 points clear (with Real having a game in hand) and although Real have a much better GD, Atletico will be champions if they have the same amount of points.

 

I think it makes the bigger games more important and gives teams more incentive to try and win against the teams around them.

Rest of the season should be alot of fun. f*cking hate that we are playing on Monday though next week. The MNF show is good in itself but wish they didn't have games on Monday.

Can't fault Mourinho to be honest, went in with a game plan and executed it perfectly. First goal was a fluke yeah, but no mistakes on the second. Gerrard led a really selfish performance after that slip. No one will be more disappointed than himself.

 

To be honest I'd rather no teams won the league at this point, they're all annoying. Can we suspend it till next year?

its irony, I want them to win the league. It's just weird that most neutrals picks would be the richest club in world football. most of us don't want the media wankfest of liverpool winning or the odious jose mourinho collecting a trophy. it's a lesser of three evils and it's ironic that money is painted as the enemy of football but it's not, it's the morality of football thats more annoying.

I was just watching Villarreal - Barcelona and saw something rather funny. Some fans chucked a banana at Dani Alves as he was taking a corner, instead of reacting poorly he simply picked up the banana and ate it then took the corner lol... he literally just ate racism.
