Hodgey.
Apparently Cech has dislocated his elbow so he'll be out for us on Sunday and the 2nd leg.
GTA_stu
Clearly wasn't deliberate Max, Frank just miscontrolled it, it'd be harsh to send him off for that. But I appreciate your view as a West Ham fan obviously not being at all biased, because you guys love Lamps. Wind yer neck in. Wind it riiiiight in. Der_Don
That was probably the worst game of football I have seen all year. Jesus.. Hodgey.
Hodgey.
I said United played too defensive when they played Bayern, but compared to that 90 minutes of sh*t I've just watched United played like the Barca of old. Der_Don

Girish
One of the most boring games ever. To be fair, it's not like Athletico were playing some sort of dazzling football. I have seen Chelsea sit back and defend against teams like Barcelona and Bayern Munich, and those were nail biting 90 mins. Cech had so much to do in those matches. This match was far from it. I was worried when Cech went off but Schwarzer hardly had to do anything extraordinary today. Not sure how I feel about this result though. It's going to be a difficult second leg what with all the injuries and suspensions. I hope Hazard is fit by then.
Hodgey.
One of the most boring games ever. To be fair, it's not like Athletico were playing some sort of dazzling football. Atleast they tried to play football instead of what Chelsea did which consisted of defending the whole match and just hoofing it up the field when possible. Shoumaker
To be honest Girish, I was commenting on both sides. I found it surprising Atletico couldn't do anything themselves. I think Chelsea will win it at the Bridge.

It's their home game. Both teams play counter-attacking football. Don't be surprised if you see an exact replay of this match at Stamford Bridge with Chelsea going forward and Atheltico breaking on the counter. GTA_stu
I was so ready to start screaming when we had that freekick right at the end. Then I saw it was David Luiz stepping up and was just praying he'd at least give an Atletico fan a concussion or something. Yh we didn't play great football, but that was always the plan to sit back and maybe nick a goal at the other end. We achieved the main goal anyways, I think we're confident of getting a win at The Bridge.

However they wont be defending for the full 90 mins like Chelsea just did. If I was a Chelsea fan I'd be pissed we didn't atleast try a little bit more and try to get a away goal. GTA_stu
Thank god those Chelsea players are circled because I wouldn't have spotted them otherwise. I'd have maybe been frustrated if it failed miserably, but it worked fine. You can't play pretty all the time, and this sets us up nicely for the 2nd leg. The system worked, it wasn't intended to please the eye it was intended to put us in a good position for the 2nd leg. Which it has. We played pretty expansive against PSG away, it's not like we just sit back and defend in every away game.

GTA_stu
Just seen a video of Moyes in his car. Turns out he drives some sort of horrible sh*tty white Chevrolet 4x4. His sacking is even more justified now. Also Cech and Terry are out for the rest of the season now. f*ck me. Eva Carnerio is totally fit. Poor love gets so much abuse though. You can't see it or hear it on TV but at away games any time she comes on the pitch she gets so many fat guys shouting "Ger yer tits out!!!" at her. That's probably at the classy end of the stuff that gets shouted at her too. Edited April 22, 2014 by stu

Vercetti42
A Bayern-Chelsea final would be terrible. Both are incredibly boring to watch (Chelsea are boring only when they park the bus like they did today but that is sure to happen if they happen to play Bayern), hope Atleti beat Chelsea in the 2nd leg. Hodgey.
What would be your Premier League team of the season look like. I meant to write mine down the other day after saw they did theirs on MNF. I'd go: Marshall Coleman Cahill Kompany Shaw Gerrard Sterling Toure Hazard Sturridge Suarez Bench: Cech, Skrtel, Baines, Henderson, Lallana, Rodriguez, Aguero.
