I think Liverpool should follow Atletico de Madrid steps.

 

First go to the Europa League and try to win the tittle. After that, go ahead and play the Champions league.

Everyone who plays in the EL would rather be in the CL. Would we have more of a chance at winning the EL, probably but that doesn't gurantee us the trophy. If you want to build a good team these days you have to play in the CL to attract the best players in the world as they want to play in the CL and not the EL.

 

 

Or be rich and pay them a lot of money. Just look at Monaco FC... Not a lot of players care about the club's colors anymore only for their paycheck...

You can apply that logic to the vast majority of players that play for a team in any of the top leagues in the World.

But Liverpool doesn't have the vast amounts of money like PSG, Chelsea, City, Monaco, Real Madrid etc. We have to have the CL to attract the top players, as we cant just overpay for every player in our squad like the teams mentioned can.

Well i prefer winning a trophy than winning none.

So you'd rather see your club winning in the second division than seeing them compete in the top flight? Why do you think clubs even bother fighting for relegation in division 1? They could be winning the second division (A cup).. I prefer it that clubs would fight for a position of prestige rather than taking part in competitions that are considered to be comparatively dull.

The team played fantastic as a whole, De Gea, RVP and Giggs deserve a mention. Fellaini also did exceptionally well holding the ball when he came on. Hope RVP's injury doesn't keep him out for too long. Couldn't be happier with the result. Valencia looked like he'd been in a boxing match. Did well to stay on though.

Honestly wasn't expecting Utd to get through, it's good for English football that they did though. This is looking like one of the strongest ever QF's in terms of the quality of the teams. I can't think of a year when we had a better/harder QF. The strongest team from every fixture went through:

 

 

 

Mourinho's also been charged by the FA which I don't understand. Lambert went on the pitch too, and it's not like Mourinho was kicking off or anything. Surely Lambert should receive the same punishment.
