Nlwt
So are Sunderland qualified for Europa League next season, in case City finishes in top four? no, this only applies to FA cup finalists, not League cup Cardiff weren't in it last year But weren't Swansea in it because they won the League Cup? Max
Yeah because they won. Runner up gets nothing unlike the FA cup where the runner up gets Europe if the winner is already qualified through the league. So who gets that extra spot then because obviously City aren't going to take it? Unless I'm missing something. Max
Yeah Nipperkins is right, basically Europa league qualification is for 6th place dependent on the outcome of the league Cup

Oh f*ck it, I'm not even that bothered, it confuses me. I always get told different things Top four get CL 5th place gets Europa League League Cup winners get Europa league unless they qualify for the CL then that spot goes to 6th place As for the FA Cup I dont know what happens if the FA Cup winner is already qualified for CL. I cucked Alex Jones
The FA Cup runner up gets the EL spot, as Stoke did in 2011. Edited March 4, 2014 by Nipperkins

Vercetti42
The FA Cup runner up gets the EL spot, as Stoke did in 2011. I wonder who gets it then if both FA Cup finalists have qualified for the CL. 7th place? In the LA Liga last year. Atletico won the Copa Del Rey and Real were runners up. Both had qualified for the CL last year obviously, so the 5th placed team qualifies for the group stage and 6th placed team qualifies for the play-off round and the 7th placed team for the third qualifying round. However Malaga (who finished 6th) were banned by the UEFA, so the 8th placed team gets to play the third qualifying round. However Rayo Vallencano (who had finished 8th) were denied a UEFA licence and were not allowed to compete in any UEFA competitions this year. So 9th placed Sevilla got the final EL spot. Don't know about the EPL but I am sure it is something similar. Edited March 5, 2014 by AceKingston

FA cup winner qualifies if they already have then runner up if they already have 7th or 6th depending on league cup then their's the fair play thing which just creates a clusterf*ck I asked this last year thinking Bradford might be repping West Yorkshire in the EL. I was disappointed, even if they are kind of rivals (as far as my 2nd/local team go) On the league cup: Did you all know in the semis if the teams are level after 180 mins, it does not go to away goals. so say in a tie between Leeds and Huddersfield it was Leeds 3-2 Huddersfield Huddersfield 2-1 Leeds that would go to extra time, but after extra time it goes to away goals before pens. Always wondered why they use this insane system Edited March 5, 2014 by Flynny

Mr Rabbit
If a team wins both the FA Cup and the EPL..who will play in the Community Shield? 2nd in the league - to try and avoid an FA cup final repeat, but sometimes that can happen anyway, very unlikely/ as a United fan I have plenty of experience with that situation also there are 2 Welsh teams in there now can we please stop calling it the EPL? I just call it the Premiership sometimes, which technically isn't right anymore, but normally just say Premier League, I haven't seen many Brits call it that either. maybe BPL (B for Barclays) Cos who the f*ck cares about the Bosnian Premier League Edited March 5, 2014 by Flynny
astonmustang
Yesterday I saw the Ronaldo, Zidane & friends VS. BSC Young Boys & Friends Match. Result 8-6.It was really a nice match with a lot of goals. I was happy to see the team of my home town and some legends playing on the same field. Even the legendary ref Collina was there The earned money is used to help the recovery efforts in the Philippines after the Taifun Haiyan. Zidane and Chapuisat (he made a hattrick and brought the Young Boys in a 3-0 lead) are still very good, sadly Ronaldo doesn't seem to be so fit anymore, but at least he decided to play for charity. Here are the Goals if anyone wants so see them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hpVkZwjueM orhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZvO326NWhQ A J

Nlwt
England vs Denmark eh? I went to the England v Denmark game in 2003 at Old Trafford. Lost 3-2, first half goals from Rooney and J. Cole if I remember rightly. No idea what the score will be tonight though. Can't say I'm bothered either but I may aswell give it a watch and disappoint myself. cactus.
Is this whole thing a piece of beauty or what? Now there's some total football. We (the USA) were absolutely woeful today, and our opponents are going to laugh us off the pitch if we put up a similar display in Brazil.
