Obviously what he did was a dick move but like you said, the media make the matter much, much worse than is the case. MOTD is going drastically downhill imo; they over exaggerate everything and slag certain teams off constantly when quite frankly, hardly any of them know what they are talking about. I totally understand why players are throwing themselves about the ground considering the lack of punishment it gets. The chances that they get the opposing player sent off, and then go on to win games and bigger things vs. maybe getting themselves a yellow card is about 50/50. why not?! I suppose the real punishment here is that you look like a complete f*ckface to the entire world and lose every ounce of dignity that you may have once had. When I watched the cup final I heard them say something about Sunderland not getting City's spot if they finish in the top 4. I may have misheard that but I guess it would go to the 6th place then, but that's just a guess as I'm not 100% sure how it works with regard to the Europa League qualifying process.
