GTA_stu
I feel like we should be playing our strongest team or close to it, not giving the fringe players a run out. Our first game against Italy is only 3 and a half months away, and we need to start getting our best team playing well together. We won't have many more opportunities. Ok maybe try 1 or 2 new players out, but I think really we need to start getting our best players playing together so that they're not second guessing each other come the main event. I know this is going to be controversial, but I think Terry should be in the squad, and he should definitely go to Brazil. Yh yh I'm a Chelsea fan, but him and Cahill have been the best defensive partnership in the premier league this season, and they would unquestionably be the strongest partnership for England too. The majority of the pundits agree that Terry has been England's best defender so far this season. I don't care if he's got a bad image, surely you want your best players going to a world cup, and Terry is England's best defender. Ferdinand won't be going so there won't be an issue there. I agree somewhat with the strongest team arguement but like you even said 1 or 2 new players is all I would want to see how it works. It's not like I expect Roy to start a whole new style of play but change it up a little and see what happens as lets not forget in the qualifiers we weren't exactly blowing teams away with our amazing play. As for Terry I would like to see him back for one more WC. I personally would start him and Cahill in the WC as they have been great this season but at the same time I want to see what Phil Jones can do at centre back as going forward into the next few years he could be the main guy in the back four for England. That being said though for that to happen United also have to start playing him at centre back and I dont see that happening, not this year anyway. Vercetti42
I don't think you quite understand league form doesn't mean sh*t when you're in a knockout cup competition. Sunderland has played like sh*t all year but they're still in the FA Cup and headed to Wembly to play in a League Cup final. Even if the players lacked confidence, the tactics Moyes employed against Olympiakos were garbage and he should take full blame for the state United is in. But the problem here is United have lost their footing in the cups as well. You said it yourself, there is a difference between United's and Sunderland's performances in the cups. First round exit in the FA Cup followed by a humiliating defeat in the League cup to Sunderland. While Moyes does deserve to take some of the blame, it's mainly the player's fault too. They looked lost against Olympiakos I don't see what any manager could have done to brighten them up. So United are playing like sh*t in all competitions this year has nothing to do with Moyes even though last year they weren't without Moyes? Max was right. The guy who replaces Moyes is going to be tasked with saving United, which is a lot easier job than replacing SAF. Moyes was destined to fail from the beginning. Mr Rabbit
19 premier league teams thankful for David Moyes Moyes manages 19 premier league teams Moyes #ballon d'or What? Just another fan who cares more about seeing United fail than their own club succeed. They were nicknamed the bitter blues for a reason mate. This season has been so much schadenfreude surrounding Manchester United this season (have I got that right don?) we really need a word in English as it is a very common trait among Brits. Not gonna lie I am frustrated by all this but in the end we've had a long run at the top, one bad season does not necessarily mean it is over, even if it is over we had a good run, it will take City and Chelsea a while to catch up to United and Liverpool. There is a world cup coming, this usually means an exodus of quality managers from their national teams. One such manager who is known to be leaving is Louis Van Gaal. Just an example of a manager with a nice CV who will be available come summer if the need arises. Also Ace the players look lost, it is the managers job to stop this, the negativity from these players has been passed down by the manager. It is also a negative reflection on Moyes and his management skills for not sorting out poor morale in the camp. In a normal workplace if you have 10 worker suicides a day because of poor morale you look at the management of the place, same principle here only less extreme. Also like to add, there is always a bigger fish, only a matter of time before someone like Huddersfield Town or MK Dons etc get bought out by someone even richer who will have similar ambitions and ideas. Nope. that was tongue in cheek mate much like the nickname itself. Also i never even came close to suggesting the entire fan-base was like that. Plus don't pretend like you aren't enjoying it I know you are, maybe not taking it to the levels of jaidev or some others but normal for being a fan of a rival club it is when fans from non-rival clubs start revelling in it, that is when the schadenfreude gets irritating imo, makes it feel like they are just jumping on a bandwagon. This whole Moyes thing reminds me of when Hughes was in charge of City and they went into the bottom 3 and there was a joke circulating saying "calling agent Hughes: mission accomplished" which also did not make sense given how it was after a few games. Damn scousers f*cked us

Moyes has his faults yes but my point is people are being too harsh on him IMO. But honestly I think we've discussed this enough. If I counter your last point we'll being going back to where we begun, we'll see how United's season pans out. Im sorry guyss i was just kidding. Just copied it from a troll football post. Girish
I was actually screaming at Schurrle before he went on that 16 minute goal-scoring run. Mourinho's pep talk in the half time seems to have worked because we were awful in the first half. Sucks we conceded a tame goal though; should have defended better. Also, Arsenal losing makes me feel really good. Now for Liverpool to drop some points too... c'mon Southampton!
