Yeah sure. You're playing in the Champions League or the EPL there with hundreds of fans and loads of pressure. You are comparing school football to professional football, it's a lot harder on the international circuit, so if you think you are the next Pele, you can go and have a hand there.

E: That was a bit harsh, oops but hey it's the internet.

But Tommy. you take football a bit too seriously.

Who doesn't take the football club they support seriously? I hate it when people say sh*t like 'it's only a game, I don't care'

I do apologize if I offended anyone. Shoumic should not take respect lists so seriously :p

lmfao, we're talking about a dive which is a form of cheating, we're not talking about a flop or a missed open goal but a DIVE. I wouldn't do it regardless of the amount of pressure I had on me. Why would I dive if I'm nervous? Is it something people do when they're nervous? Please Ace think before you speak.

Not going to bother arguing with the Pele bull, as that made absolutely no sense at all.

@Tommy,

Mate you took my comments seriously enough to even put me on there. :p It's fine, we all get pissed at times.

Funny this, Januzaj was brilliant yesterday and there has been no mention of his performance just the dive. Like I said a few pages back, if a player like Cleverley dived nobody would of said anything.

He's mad talent and this is why I go to the caf to discuss players performance and the football because it's non-existent in here. People would rather talk about controversial stuff.

Thought there would be more talk about the Kompany own goal

If Kompany's own goal isn't goal of the month, life is a fix. Who's that City player on the line trying to kick it out but failed miserably?

It was Navas

Im not going to try bring up the diving subject again but I haven't said anything so far on the subject, but he dived get over it. Its clear I dont like anything about United but he dived just like every team does at some point. Does it seem like United players are diving more at the moment? Yes. That being said if a player of Liverpool dived and won a penalty in the last minute of a FA Cup final and we scored to win, I wouldn't give a f*ck, or any other game for that matter. Just like the rest of you wouldn't care if it was your team doing the same. Its only noticed when it isnt your players doing it. I want my players to do whatever it takes to win, I just pisses me off when a team does it to us  Yes thats hypocritical but every football fan is. Plus just gonna say Suarez at Liverpool hasn't really dived this year before some of you point the finger at him, although he did do it for Uruguay :monocle:

No offence but that is a dumb thing to say. If thats the case then every football fan wouldn't be able to comment on anything in football because none of us have been a pro? I played football from the age of 6 till 16 in a organised junior team (started at a early age playing in the backyard). I know about football because I pretty much played it every single day of my childhood doesn't matter that I didn't play as pro I still understand the game and how it works, as like I said I played it for numerous hours and spent so many hours watching it thats its unreal.

(for shoumic who is also 18, go play football outside instead of making comments behind a screen no offence mate),

The irony. Isn't everyone here making comments behind a screen? Most of us have, or still, play the game at some level in real life.

I AM SORRY ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THE VIDEO, BUT MY WEBCAM IS ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH.

I think you just did build it up again.

Everything you said there was right and applies to all football fans (unless you're a f*cking idiot). I'm not surprised it's been talked about this much as I said a few pages back, but it would also apply to Suarez; when Suarez dived, there were pages among pages on the subject like there is with the dive yesterday and then every dive from a United player since the 1960's has been brought up which is expected.

Now can we please put this to bed (until there is another incident in a couple of weeks and that will be discussed to death the same)

Not a great start for Spurs, already 1-0 down. Bad times for them.

Agree with Hodgey except, when you say you want them doing whatever it takes to win. -- I don't want them breaking the rules and making the club look bad on the world stage by diving.

So you would rather the club lose miserably than a player dive or break the rules slightly in order for your team to win something as big as the FA cup? I don't believe that for one second.

Who said anything about losing miserably? I certainly wouldn't want a Luis Suarez world cup goalline handball and celebration in the tunnel or an obvious dive. I think the worst I accept as "Part of the game" is dirty play on corners and shirt pulling.

The thing about Janujaz is that he didn't even need to dive, it wasn't to pull one back or level the game. Just entirely unnecessary.

I'm a cricket player primarily, my view and attitude towards cheating to win may be slightly different.

Not sure why you had to focus in on the 'losing miserably' bit, the 'miserably' bit wasn't my main point.

I'm not saying cheating is right, obviously. I'd rather the team win fair and legit than having to cheat and dive in order to win. The thing that annoyed me with Januzaj yesterday was he dived when he didn't need to, there was no point at all.

I don't know. Maybe you could make a case for it if you are losing in a final or something. I still think its wrong. But even losing a premier league game is not worth ruining your reputation and your clubs reputation. Thierry Henry is still jeered years later for his handball.

To get down to it, if you want to know who is responsible for this conversation about United being divers in here (which im not trying to bring up and talk about again, honestly) it's people like Ashley Young and Janujaz. If they don't do it, we cant talk about it.

Players dive which was my point to start with. People here make a big song and dance over something so small. Welcome to modern day football now get over it.

It turns my stomach people trying to convince themselves that cheating is just part of the game. In fact the majority of those who do it, do so because it's mainly their team doing it.

Guessing this isn't aimed at me because I never said cheating was okay, just stressing that.

As I said a few pages back, Adebayor > Soldado. ;)

It is part of the modern game if you like or not.

Don't know how many times I've said this but it seems like all I do around here is repeat myself, I'm against diving but you just have to face that it happens all the time. Cheating happens in every single match, if a player dived against us for a pen in the minute then I would obviously be pissed off but if a United player dived in that situation then I'm not exactly going to stand there and protest at OT with my big f*ck off banners saying 'we didn't deserve that match, turn the result round FA if you bastards have a heart'

Oh, so it's part of the game and we should just get over a bunch of Pansies prancing around and throwing themselves over in the box to win or penalties. Ok, we will have to agree to disagree . I don't accept it as part of the game.

Guess I did start the diving topic again. Hahahaha.

@JosephCooke if a City player dived and it lead to you winning the Prem would you be fine with it and count that as another title or would you not acknowledge the title?

Would I like to see diving out of the game? Of course. But football isnt a level playing field for all teams to begin with.

It's part of the modern game until the FA start dishing out bans and fines for diving which they should do. if somebody dives then they should be suspended.

That's the way I see it but fat chance in the FA doing anything about.

You're in denial. Deluded if you think diving isn't part of the modern game.

End it, diving is disgraceful but the FA don't care. Simple.

You're right I should of just shut the f*ck up.

Spurs v Southampton has been a pretty exciting game so far. Hopefully Southampton can nick a goal in these last 6 minutes though. Still has to be embarrising for Soldado to know that Adebayor has scored more goals in open play in one Prem game than he has all season.

Just because something is part of the game, doesn't make it right. When we say 'it's part of the game', that doesn't mean we support it, it happens too regular for it not to be considered not part of the game.

Tommy, it happens in the modern game and its unfortunate. It is not part of football any more than leg breaking tackles, biting people, and racially abusing people are part of the modern game. Should be condemned by all

I'm waiting for him to come in and tell us how good Soldado is. He missed some good chances today. And Adebayor was the only player to get a shot on target for Spurs today.

Adebayor > Soldado. ;)
