Man City - Barca? Excellent can't wait to see Crokey and Joseph's faces after Messi, Iniesta and Neymar give them a good whipping. If we lose, I'd be seriously annoyed that we lost to a team which can only buy their way to victory, even then they have only won one trophy on goal-difference, dirty scum.

Ace I've made like 5 or 6 posts since the game and I said it was a good game. Are you looking for a fight or something? Grow up. I just comment on football, I have no interest in a war of insults.

I AM SORRY ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THE VIDEO, BUT MY WEBCAM IS ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH.

Yo' i was joking. Wasn't it obvious?

Anyways I'm placing a $100 bet with Crokey that we will win the CL Last 16 game.

Joking by repeatedly calling me out by name in a smug, childish manner? You need to work on your sense of humor . I posted that united had a good game during the game and after. The shocking game was the spurs game. United did exactly what was expected of champions by Beating villa 3-0

Boy, you must have been pretty damn annoyed when we beat your ass in 2012. BTW, your Barca has spent a total of €648.35m since 2003 on new players. Including player sales, your net total transfer spending comes to €429.61m. Do you realize how substantial an amount that is? Does that mean you have bought your way to victory all these years? In comparison, your rivals Real Madrid, who are known for their outrageous spending, have a net total transfer spending of €609.15m in the same time period. Not a lot of difference, is there?

It isn't wrong to spend but you should develop players too. I can't see City doing that now, only MIcah Richards and Joe Hart are the only ones in the current squad that were there when City was a mere mid-table team. We have developed players, take a look at this, it's a year old but fairly recent; Players who have come through Le Masia, Barca's youth academy.

Modern football demands that you spend money if you want to be successful in a short amount of time. With clubs being acquired by businessmen and the amount of money they have at their disposal, why won't they spend? Of course, it takes proper management and guidance or you risk ending up like Blackburn but clubs like City, Monaco, PSG can afford to take those risks. I won't be surprised if City do end up winning the PL and probably the CL in a couple of years from now. The important part is to sustain that success and keep winning trophies while reducing your expenditure step by step, which is what Chelsea is trying to do right now and which is what all the recent high spending clubs will try to do in the near future while some other clubs get taken over by rich businessmen and the cycle repeats.

Fair point, I wouldn't have anything against City if they start doing that in a few years.

I think even jln22 himself could have saw his sacking coming. I'm just wondering who the replacement will be.

As for the replacement for West Brom, Martin Jol is favourite with Solskjaer close behind at 10/1.

Yeah about time to be honest. Poor AVB. He was better of working as Mourinho's assistant.

No surprise that AVB has been sacked but I think Levy is to blame too.

Also, the EL draw if anyone cares, some nice ties there such as Porto vs Frankfurt, Swansea vs Napoli and Juventus vs Trabzon.

^ Swansea v Napoli will be an interesting one. Still makes me chuckle that Juve are in the EL now.

And your point being?

Not to mention, the figures I've quoted include player sales. If you exclude that, Real have spent in excess of 1 billion.

Holy sh*t, then again if you dont realise that UEFA fixed certain things then you dont really know what UEFA is like.

You do realize there is a twitter account for each of the possible outcomes, so there will be another account somewhere saying Man Utd - Barca and so on.

@NathanT I see. I still dont trust UEFA though.

Anyway looking at some of the favs for the next Spurs manager and seems Capello, Laudrup, Sherwood, Hoddle, Hiddink, Zola, De Boer, Di Matteo are the front runners according to the bookies.

Wonder who Spurs fans would like the most to take over.

Then begin to drop your hatred, turn to the light side of the force. Our new Academy (The Etihad Campus) once done will probably be the best in Europe, which by the way our current academy setup has been consistently rated as one of the best in England along side Liverpool and Middlesbrough... of all places.

And for everyone else... told you Messi will come to the Etihad.
