The spuds got well and truly mashed, Jesus. They just seemed to give up in the last 15 minutes. Hearing AVB's post match press conference was interesting though, where he basically said the players brought in during the summer weren't his choice and he didn't seem all that happy with it. Can't see him staying for long.

 

We really don't look that great atm. Defensively we seem uncharacteristically weak, I think that's 11 or 12 premier league games in a row without a clean sheet now. I'd be happy with a draw at Arsenal next week, with the way things have been going recently. That said, although we haven't been playing well for the last few weeks we're still only 2 points off the top.

@AK the 6-1 loss to Burnley in 1963, as you can see by the other results football was very very different then. Burnley were not the team you know now, they were very decent in the early 60s and football was different too, it was not what it is now with the same few teams rising to the top year on year.

It wasn't in an interview, it was in a proper press conference I think. Can't find the video. But he was asked about the signings in the summer and if they were his choice. His reply was something along the lines of "I'd rather not make it public" and hinted heavily he was unhappy with the way the thing had been handled. That's the impression I got anyways.

 

Lol Arsenal and Man City. Relatively easy for us and Manutd, the return of Drogba will be interesting. Hope Arsenal beat Bayern, not sure who I want to win the City Barca game though.
