Know I'm late to the party here, but a very interesting draw as always. We've got the easiest group out of the English teams, and LOL at Arsenal in the group of death. All those teams are tough games, not a single easy one. They're all relatively evenly matched as well, although Arsenal are probably still 2nd favourites to go through (after Dortmund). Man utd's 3 opponents are all evenly matched too, not an easy group for them either but they should still finish top and definitely should go through. The crap shade of blue should qualify as well, interesting to see how far they can get. CSKA games are crucial for them.

 

Going to be another great season of Champions League football!

They might not of realised what them songs meant but it seriously doesn't take a genius to work it out.

I worked out what the songs were talking about but if you aint a Liverpool fan or a football fan then you wouldn't understand it, except for maybe the first one. The person we have who controls the LFC twitter might not even be a football fan and someone who we just hired to control our social media etc so he/she might not of understood the meaning of these songs. The tweet has been eleted so they probably realised what they did once someone pointed it out but who knows for sure.

 

Looking at Group D of the EL draw, i can actually see Wigan getting through that group

Well, as Hodgey says, the people behind Liverpool's social media pages mightn't even be football fans (I would guess they're just outta uni'), and don't understand the relevance.

 

The reply could have been a joke about how out of place those songs would be in a team changing room, and yet that's their actual playlist.

 

I don't want to seem like I'm jumping to their aid, it's just it mightn't have been deliberate; the fan who suggested those songs is scum.

Yes there are some fans that have supported the guy who posted them songs but the majority haven't. With any club you get the people who take it to far like this guy

so no one can say their club is free of idiots. I guess this guy is someone who gets upset when people mock Munich, so what can you do it will always happen between us.

The guy has to be an idiot of the highest level not to see the relevance of the first one. I mean they have to be dumber than a baked potato.

 

It is far more likely that it was a football fan who thought they were being clever. Then realised they are posting as LFC's official twitter account, not their own personal account.

I would bet every pound that has been earned by players or staff in all clubs in English football in the past 21 years that if Man United's official twitter did a similar comment about Hillsborough there would be more of a reaction. In here, and in the media, there would be more reaction.

 

Things like this do rest squarely on a few rotten apples, as said by both Nathan and hogey they are in every fanbase, but when you see the official twitter of one of the clubs look to promote this kind of behaviour, it is a cause for a bit of anger, and embarrassment, at least they apologised but really I don't blame LFC for making the comments, I blame them for putting an idiot who is one of the 'rotten apples' on their twitter account, not a smart PR move. Probably a kid on work experience now who, as punishment, has to stand in a locked cage with Suarez for the rest of the day, and Suarez is hungry

 

I'd go for Bayern to win 2-0

Yeah Brad Jones is out No. 2, Jones is a good enough No. 2 as he filled in a few games last year and did ok when Pepe Reina got injured, so why we want Shay Given is beyond me.
