Yeah I love football, its so fair. See, this is a big shame about the current state of European football - a historic club like Ajax should be financially above Man City and Spurs, and attacting/keeping better players. If your club is outside the big leagues - or inside the big leagues but outside the Champions League - then your club is going to be playing second tier football. It's time for a European Super league.

Banks.
United playing some good stuff so far. 1-0 nearing 30 minutes, young Lingard with the goal and we're playing pressing style of football. Interesting... As expected, our wingers are playing narrow. 2-0 Welbeck with the goal. Playing very well is young Danny. Edited July 20, 2013 by Tommy. GTA_stu
How does this first refusal thing work? Could Arsenal block the transfer? I think it's as long as Arsenal match the highest offer, then if Barca want to sell they have to offer him to Arsenal first. So Manu come in with 30mil bid, and Arsenal don't bid anything, then Manu would get him (assuming Barca want to sell). But if Arsenal matched the 30mil, then Barca have to sell him to Arsenal instead. So Manu would then have to increase their offer if they wanted to get him (and hope Arsenal don't match it). I think that's how it works.
fgcarva1
Not sure if mentioned, but Spanish media says Luis Enrique was chosen as the new Barca manager. Will try to look for an English source to link.
Miro
Aw sh*t. Now this isn't looking to well for us. I never really heard of Luis Enrique, but from what I heard he merely avoided relegation with Celta Vigo last season. Crap, why they had to choose him? Villas Boas would have been a far better choice. Looking through his history, it seems he was a coach at the second team of Barcelona, between 2009 and 2011. Now I really lost a bunch of confidence about the next season's title. Even with Neymar. Damn it Tito, why are you ill!? Dead (Retired)

Miro
Dumb kid. That was uncalled for. But no, I never really followed the second team of Barcelona, not in the past anyway. I did see his name pop up a few times, but since he left Barcelona a couple of years ago, I never really got interested in him anymore. And yes, I am a Barcelona fan, and that's why I care for who's going to be coach for my favorite team in the next seasons. Don't think I'm a less confident fan of Barcelona only because I didn't know this detail, I've never been really concerned much about couches anyway. Max
@Man Utd fans: I, and others like me do not need score updates and Hansonesque analysis of your pre-season games. If there is a valid point for the rest of us to be drawn out of it, then fair enough but there isn't and I doubt you'd want me spouting on about West Ham's comprehensive victory over Boreham Wood or their humbling at the hands of Mainz if I started doing so. This is football topic so I'm afraid it's relevant. I'll talk about United's pre-season in here because there are United fans like Nathan, rhyn, Nate, SIKKS, Stef etc. I'm not or other United stopping you from talking about West Ham's pre-season. I didn't just post score updates, I described what type of football we are playing, how we are doing, which players are playing well. It doesn't hurt as their are people that miss the pre-season games that might want to know how we do and sh*t. Sorry but it's a football topic. It would be like the equivalent of Tommy, finding out that Bryan Robson or Mark Hughes was being linked to the United job, and not knowing who they were, even worse in fact because Luis Enrique wasn't playing that long ago, and he was a top class player and legend of the club, much like the original Luis Suarez (I'm a supporter of Liverpool, but always held a soft spot for Barcelona, until they became a bunch of fannies with players like Busquets, Neymar will fit right in) edit: Seddo or Waddy make a special topic for all these United fans, please. He made other 200 appearances for Barca so he's no small time player but there you go, some people just don't know as much as others I guess. I've been looking at Luis Enrique's managerial jobs and he only took over Celta on 8th June. He had a win percentage of 42.11% at Roma so it looks like he doesn't have that much experience. You never know with football, if he is back home at Barca then he could do a good job. Hopefully he doesn't because I want Barca out of CL early EDIT: No need AJ, you can talk about Liverpool as much as you like. Joeseph does it with Citeh so I see no harm in it as it's a football topic. Out of curiosity, how many United fans around here are on the Caf? Edited July 20, 2013 by Tommy. flitcroft101
Enrique doesn't have a vast amount of experience but he does show promise, win percentages with smaller clubs means nothing. One manager will do terribly at one club and do fantastic at the next, it happens all the time. One thing for sure is Barcelona boys will respect him and do exactly what he says... he was like Puyol back in the day.
