Joseph Cooke
So I heard City want to expand the Etihad to 60,000. Why? They can't even fill the ground now Sold out every home league game last season... And whilst we're on that subject, noticed plenty of empty patches at OT last season. All the tourists and day-trippers losing interest? --- So it would appear we may be announcing some new signings tomorrow.....either Negredo or Jovetic (or both). Whilst Thiago's headed for Bayern. If that's the case, why don't they turn up to watch then? I've never heard of somebody buying a ticket then not showing up. Just thought I'd join in on the banter. Can't wait for the football season to start. My weekends don't feel complete without watching a couple of games of good 'ol football. There's a pre season match for United tomorrow at daft o' clock,. That pic is from a cup match back in 2011 or so. --- Can't wait for the football season to start. I'm sure all the British players can. They'd die playing in that heat. Not exactly the crème de la crème in Europe though is it? Considering you were linked with players like Cavani, Isco etc.

Not exactly the crème de la crème in Europe though is it? No. But with regards to Isco and Cavani, Isco wanted Madrid more (understandably) and Cavani's price was just ridiculous, so I'm glad to see we're not going to let clubs hold us to ransom any more (minus Fernandinho, but he was a must-buy imo). Pep wouldn't carry through this transfer just to let Thiago rot on the bench. I can see Kroos being the one who will have to leave now.

Banks.
United almost went 1-0 down. Ben Amos made a magnificent save. SACK DAVID MOYES! 0-0 at half time. Hopefully we can step it up a bit for the second half. I will be happy with a win for the first game back. EDIT: 1-0 down. Edited July 13, 2013 by Tommy. Ari Gold
I'm looking forward to seeing United next weekend, especially if they play as melancholily (is that even a word?) as they did tonight. (notsrs) Who's this Januzaj fella? Did we purchase him or did he rise up through the academy? The kid can play (and holy f*ck, I've now reached that age where I see a professional footballer who's younger than me. Sad times )

The kid can play We got him from Anderlecht when he was about 16, got bumped from the youth team to the reserves last year and won reserve team player of the year, should get a few games with the first team this year, pretty good since he's still only 18. Banks.
Welbeck gets too much stick in my opinion. Exactly. He's still young and has showed great technique over the past few seasons. Maybe not the best finisher but a good player to have. People seem to forget that it's the first game back so I'm sure Welbeck will blame his performance and that piece of skill on being rusty
Nlwt
Welbeck gets too much stick in my opinion. Maybe so, but he deserved it today. He's a good kid, but his finishing is diabolical. Can only improve.
