Still looks really strange David Moyes wearing a United badge. Real shame Rene Meulensteen and Mike Phelan have gone too. Times change and hopefully United's success won't. Really looking forward to the new season now, only another 40 something days to go, I think....

ONLY 40 days?? Dude, that is actually a long time. I just miss the Premier League action so much. Waking up excited every Saturday and Sunday morning because of the matches. I also miss playing time so that i can watch the matches.

I'm the same, jaidev. Saturday and Sunday nights are weird now without any football on. PL games are played very late our time, so usually I'd go out on a Saturday night, and by the time I come home (3am, 4am) I'd watch a recorded game or two (or if there are any live games, I'd watch those). Same goes for Sunday. It's kind of dull not having any football to watch, ponder over and analyse (bar crap like the Confed Cup which, although it's interesting, hardly excites me), so yeah, August can't come around soon enough.

 

It's also only two and a half weeks now until I head up to Sydney to watch United play the A-League all-stars. Excitement is slowly brewing (since I don't know when the next time I'll ever see United play will be, unless I fly over to Britain).

Not offically announced by Dortmund or Saint-Etienne but Auba confirmed via Facebook that he currently resides in Dortmund. And there are several journalists on twitter stating that he's been seen together with our General Manager. I expect the official announcement tomorrow.

It's pretty insightful and also very funny how Jim White and Kelly Gallagher trying to enforce the 'Premier League is the greatest league in the world!!!!' agenda. Tony Cascarino looked like an absolute mug after Syed was done speaking hahaha

 

 

In other news, looks like united are getting closer to signing Thiago Alcantara. I don't think I've ever seen him play but I hear he's at Wilshere's level and has a lot of potential. It's great that we're finally looking to sign a midfielder.

Showed some decent promise early on but he seemed to lose a lot of determination and it looked like he couldn't be arsed. Maybe he'll get that back if he gets a longer run of games. Considering the money that gets spent on young British lads then 5M + add-ons seems a little crappy.

They are all British and that's what I love about it It's a shame about Rene but I think he wanted to leave since Sir Alex retired. Moyes needs people who he is comfortable with and I back his decisions.

I get the feeling the club didn't back him, he didn't seem like he wanted to apologise and since then he had a fairly weak run. I just assumed that day that he would get pushed out of the club and it did happen not that Liverpool need him anyway, he wasn't very good. It's a very positive move to get rid of him.
