@Canoxa: I wasn't referencing to that in any way, I was just talking about football players in general. That is a good story though and it certainly shows that in some countries football isn't dead yet at international level.

 

@Vercetti27: I care, but you are certainly right in what you said. Club triumphs over country where the big 4 are concerned especially as unlike England, those clubs do have international success...

 

Quite ironic that the lower league fans are the ones that perhaps care more but they have to play games during the international week. A bit of a kick in the teeth for them I suppose.

That's all that happened, don't see a lot of reason to abandon the match. It's not like they invaded the pitch or anything. Just a few torches thrown. And there wasn't any fight either. As for the goalkeeper, well i feel sorry for him. Anyways 3:0 Italy, congrats.

Seeing as games get called off due to health and safety when there's a bit of fog setting in the ground. Flares getting thrown on the pitch and towards police. Just as bad as the Milan derby in the 2005 Champions League.

 

You've got the safety of the fans, players, stewards, officials ect; to deal with.
