So United fans can't criticize divers because we've signed players in the past with the reputation of diving? Why can Liverpool fans criticize a United player when they dive, or why can a Spurs fan criticize a United player for diving; but the minute a United fan criticizes a player that is known more for his dives than playing football, everybody starts crying and we are not entitled to an opinion or we can't comment on how obvious and ridiculous their actions are on the pitch.

 

It doesn't even annoy me, it actually makes me laugh.

 

As for that Gif, I thought I was talking about Sergio Busquets. I could probably find a gif for every club in the Prem that has a player that dives, Suarez, Bale, Torres.... I could go on.

Fair enough. Just annoys me when people come out with bullsh*t like United fans don't even have an opinion like other football supporters. Really gets to me as a friend died in a football braul as he was sticking up for himself and a few other United fans when a similar thing was said and somebody ended up whacking him over the head killing him. I know it's not an excuse to blame it on anyone or fly off the handle, but it just gets to me when people talk about United fans like they're a different species than other football supporters, because it reminds me of my friend.

Pogrebnyak doesn't seem like the smartest of fella's, no idea why he'd refuse a contract with Fulham to jump ship to Reading. Both would have offered him first team football anyway but you'd think Fulham would have offered more money on the table than Reading.

 

Been watching the Confederations and Neymar is looking better now than a few months ago, although some of his decision making is still a bit naff. Whips in a mean ball from freekicks as well.

He didn't do too bad at Fulham and the service he got there wasn't the best. His goal scoring record isn't too shabby but definitely went downhill when he went to Reading. Not sure what the attraction was at Reading unless he was offered more money. I know he's on a long-term contract at Reading though.

You lot can all do one, we've put most of the effort into this transfer.

 

The whole transfer is a mess though, Shaktar own 50% and two other people own 25% each so you have to deal with 3 groups who are all trying to get as much money as they can. He disappeared for a few days and Shaktar didn't even know where he had gone and the reported fee keeps rising and dropping everyday.

If you're going to go after an Argentine forward from Roma then Erik Lamela is the man. Will cost quite a bit of dough but that's not exactly going to put City off.

Yeah, I never understood why Liverpool are/have been so heavily linked with him I can't think of any reasons why he would join Liverpool over a Champions League side but Whatever.. I can't say I wouldn't be ecstatic if he joined.

 

In other news, Jonathan de Guzman has gone on loan to Swansea for another season which I think is a great deal for Swansea. Every time I watched him last year I was pretty impressed.

You missed a good ending to the 2nd half. Two good free kick goals, and once again Buffon failed at a "saveable" free-kick in Cavani's 34 yarder.

 

Italy is tired and I feel like these last 5 minutes of the 2nd ET will be good. I can see Uruguay winning this, unfortunately.

 

EDIT: Wow, Uruguay has some bad penalty takers. Glad Italy has won it, though.
