Bates_GTA
Speaking of dirty players, theirs no-one in the league i hate more than Fellaini, practically every time he jumps for the ball, he throws an elbow, it's f*cking disgusting to watch, He must have stopped play 5 times last season due to head injuries, yet he's given no ban? Considering how tall he is & his huge 'fro theirs no reason for him to follow through with an elbow.

nerner
Just saw de Jong's challenge on MoTD2, I can't believe he got away with it, truly shocking. Another suprising thing to see on MoTD2 was Alan Hansen giving us credit, first time thats happened this season It's all luck I tell you!

Waddy
So Liverpool have agreed a sale for the club? To another American baseball team owner. You cant make it up! So Royal bank of Scotland have agreed the sale, Hicks and Gillette are trying to block the same...but unless they pay 60m which they havent got by the 15th of October the RBS own the club anyway. So looks like the Red Sox will get the club on the cheap. They have said they would clear the debt and invest in the team, all good then? Seddo
"Tom, f*ck off you greedy grasping bastard" x 10000000000000000 Don't step foot in Liverpool, Britain or even Europe f*ck off back home. Can't believe (well i can) they tried sacking Purslow and Arye just so they could get the own people in so they were out numbered on boardroom votes. They f*cked up the Texas Rangers and some hockey team the same way as us, don't know why the f*ck Moores and Parry didn't do a bit of research before flogging. They wanted 800 million, the club has been sold for 300 million and they plan to lose roughly 140 million, F*CKING HA, that's quality news especially after them bragging in the news about how we were going to be the most profitable business for them after selling. LanceVanceDance07
Wait a second, Liverpool is being sold to...ANOTHER American sports group? Doesn't it make those minority Liverpool supporters caught burning American flags feel kind of awkward? Anyways, It's a step in the right direction, but I will hold my breath until the situation is settled...
TommyMufc-Champs
Yep another Yankie has taken over Liverpool. I think this may help Liverpool, bring better players etc. I hope we get new owners.
The Killa
Cautiously optimistic is the general consensus for us at the moment. These Red Sox lot impress me so far and I've heard nothing but praise for them. So far.. but I'll still reserve my judgement. As long as they can return us to stability and generally be GOOD owners we'll all be happy with that given our current situation. I'll also stress that sugar daddies are the cancer killing football, thank you. And the fact G&H walk out 140m out of the pocket makes it all more satisfying. Karma in it's finest form, ya c*nts. Saw this multiple times since it was released and just now noticed Stephen Graham. Nice one Edited October 6, 2010 by The Killa
Vercetti27
liverpool fans need to realise that no american owners will love the club like them . they demand success and blame everything on the yank owners. now some new yank owners are coming in and now everything is changing . they are becoming a plaything to the americans, being passed around. how long is it until they new owners will be forced out? Seddo
We're not being passed around, Moores couldn't take us any further so he/the club seeked further investement. The only reason we are being sold again is becuase Hicks and Gillette haven't got no money and were way over their heads in debt. Those Yanks promised funds, a new stadium and to not pile their debt on to the club and they broke every promise, hence the protests to get rid of the cancer at our club. These new owners/group have their own money but as longs as they keep us debt free and stable and are able to give us funds to buy players to build a squad instead of selling to buy then we should be good to go. It cant be debt free, not that I can see anyway. They havent got billions to spend and thats what it would cost to build a new stadium, buy the club and a few new players. No matter what they will have to borrow. I just think these new guys have a better attitude and think long term. Debt wont be going though...They think they will rebuild Anfield too instead of new stadium. Could be good?
Vercetti27
Theres talks of liverpool and everton groundsharing! This gets funnier and funnier. If you ask me Rafa was one of the worst thing to happen to liverpool, looking at the huge amount of money he spent on average players, yet the yanks are getting full blame. couldn't make it up

Waddy
Harry Redknapp has come out and backed G&H and the Liverpool fans have gone crazy. I still stand by the fact that they bought the club just before the worst ever global recession. Something that closed some massive firms all over the place, hardly any company escaped it. Most clubs in the prem have huge debts, it stands to reason that if you want to keep up you have to borrow. Villa, Birmingham, Stoke are just a few that have debts even worse than LFC % wise. LFC fans demand to be the best, they have never won the prem etc but a lot of pressure is put on the club by the fans to be a success. Before the trouble started H&G gave Rafa a shed load of cash, more than any other club outside of the top 4 anyway, more than most in it too! They sanctioned the buying of Torres, one of the best strikers in the world? A lot more top money players too. What did they do wrong? all they did is buy a company the same way the Glazers bought Man Utd, through a mortgage. Mortgages were easy back then, anyone could get them...they threw money at you. When the sh*t hit the fan though nobody was safe, the banks crumbled...RBS was one of the worst hit...they wanted their money back and issued penalties which they wouldnt have done before the crisis, they were put under huge pressure to get money back so the government didnt have to bail them out. This really screwed up the Liverpool plan, the long term plan put in place had just gone to sh*t, G&H struggled the same way in their other business's. I really dont blame them at all. they have given their manager who the fans demanded stay? Everything he asked for, and just because Rafa couldnt deliver the fans had to blame someone. If LFC were winning like Man utd then I don't think the fans would give a flying sh*t who owned the club. Put it this way, if you won the lotto tomorrow, employed a money expert to help you and you said "Woohoo Im gona pay 4mill cash for my new mansion" The money expert would say "Whoa, its far better to borrow the money and get a mortgage" Because the interest on the money earns more than a rate on buying the house, so you save money by borrowing! Thats what H&G did, its business.

Fans will refuse as a matter of pride then moan when they cant afford players, then blame the board, then blame the manager...when it was the fans who opposed making more money. That's not even a normal thought for the Manchester City's of our world, so of course they would have to borrow. If it had to happen it would be like Arsenal, with some steady belt tightening for after it is built. As for a groundshare - no. Unless it became desperate. I understand if the owners borrowed money to build a stadium but i don't want them to do what the other Yanks did and put their own personal debt on the club and then strangle it from operation, you only have to look at our net spend and recent transfers.
