Brazil v Russia ITV 4 if anyone's interested.

Nice one. Why at the Bridge though?

Was thinking the same myself, maybe because a couple of the players are English based and it saves both clubs travelling across to the other side of the globe. Aw well, provides a better atmosphere than a Russian stadium tounge.gif.

Roman has probably had a word with the Russian FA about the location of their friendly, makes sense not to have all the players travel to Brazil or Russia if the majority of the players are based in Western Europe.

Not the most exciting of games so far and Neymar has been a bit greedy.

Agreed, I think Neymar is extremely selfish and that's perhaps the main thing holding him back from being a big player in Europe (not to mention his diving skills). All the game is missing is a goal really. It's been a fast pace game with good chances but again Neymar ruined a great chance by not passing to Kaka for an attack there.

I think his decision making is a bit poor as well, there's a number of times where he dawdles on the ball and then the passage of play gets wasted. Maybe he doesn't need to worry about these negatives in his game playing in the Brazilian league and maybe Santos aren't trying to add these to his game. If he gets a move to Barca and Madrid then these issues could get ironed out.

Speaking of poor decisions, Fred trying to back heel it into the net from outside the box. biggrin.gif

great result for the USA to take a point from México. I think it must have been +10 years that we'd always lose that game at the Azteca. Basically if we can just win our home matches from here on out qualifying shouldn't be so troublesome.

State of that pitch! No more qualifiers now until September. Thank god.

Get the proper football back on.

The USA are always going to be one of the favorites to move on to the World Cup, usually behind Mexico.

Still, the atmosphere last night was pretty amazing, always is at the Azteca. The US surprisingly held their own. Mexico's finishing was woeful, particularly from Chicharito.

Expect Omar Gonzalez to be a world-class center back in the next few years. His performance was immense.

Always a great feeling to have the football back after an international break.

Sure is.

We should be picking up the 3 points at Southampton, definitely won't be an easy game though.

That was nervy at the end there for United. Dont think RVP will get that goal though. The initial shot was going on target but the fact it took two deflections both away and towards goal could be different than with one deflection.

You'll have to really pull it out in the second half from what I'm reading on Sky Sport text reports, Southampton are all over Chelsea.

St Mary's isn't an easy place to visit these days.

2-0 for us so far, hope we keep it up.

About 15 minutes of normal time left. Not looking good. Spurs and Arsenal both winning as well. St Mary's is a tough place to go, still should be beating them though in all honesty.

What the hell has Torres got on his face.

Rafa put out a piss poor team with equally poor tactics and we were thoroughly beaten by a team that wanted the win more. Apparently, winning a trophy is more important than a CL spot next year. Nothing to complain about, really. This loss is not going to do our confidence any good for the upcoming matches.

I can understand putting out a weakened team, with the manu game only 2 days away. But the performance was just pathetic. We've been terrible away from home, that's 3 defeats in a row for away games in the league. Really hope we can beat Manutd, I will love it if we beat them! Love it! /Keegan

Got a few tough games coming up though, really need to have some momentum otherwise we'll be out of the EL, FA cup and finish outside of the top 4.

Four games in nine days? Blimey.

I may have been a tad tipsy while watching the Chelsea game, but my Lord, Torres' face-mask was absolutely hilarious to watch. Distracted me from the actual match.

Getting beat by Southampton? HAHAHA, oh sh*t wait a minute....

Hope Chelsea are nice and tired for their trip to Anfield after all those fixtures. Looking for some revenge this afternoon, the 3-1 reverse should have never happened. Good goal by Mirallas yesterday and Stoke are only 4 points above relegation, come on football gods do your thing.

Sunderland have fired Martin O'Niell, with Mark Hughes the favourite to replace him. They've got some winnable fixtures - Villa, Stoke, Soton - so I don't see why they've panicked.

They've also got Chelsea, Newcastle, Everton and Spurs and all with Fletcher out injured. When O'Neill first come in they looked good but this season they have been awful throughout, just looked at the table and i didn't think they were in that bad of a position, a point clear with an extra game played. Only Stoke have picked up fewer points in 2013 than Sunderland so you can see why they've gone for a change, big TV deal for next year as well to try and cling onto.

No point in bringing in Hughes either.

Unless Sunderland like playing the pools and Draws are their thing, then Hughes would be crap.

I hear it was good from us though, hoping we can carry that to united, rather than go to what has been our current away default mode - sh*t.

After the Liverpool game they were saying that Di Canio was on his way to Sunderland for talks, seems like a good fit IMO.

Who here remembers Jay Jay Okocha? Best individual entertainer in the Prem for me, spent time earlier in his career alongside Ronaldinho at PSG, wonder who learned from who tounge.gif

I remember him from his time in Frankfurt in the 90s.

His goal against Kahn is an all time classic over here:

So good they named him twice. I can only remember his time at Bolton, he was a real class player.

The rainbow flick right on the touch line against Arsenal was boss.

To be honest, I'm not surprised we were knocked out. Hernandez isn't good enough on the ball to be the loan striker and Cleverley left wing is never going to work. Giggs coming on wasn't the right decision either imo. Thought Kagawa would've been the better choice. And where was Rooney? I missed the build up

Forgot the replay was on today, so it looks like we've got Chelsea then, if we can keep our run going against Chelsea I'll be happy... we bloody need it actually, or else I fear we may lose Bobby Manc.
