why do a rehersal, jsut translates to me as "ooh the teams we find most marketable are together this early on... we'll call that a practice"

maybe practicing their selection techniques to rig the draw, going by that draw, all the top favourites and most marketable teams drawn against each other... I would say they either mastered it, or failed miserably.
