I went to the Everton vs Spurs game yesterday and was sat in the lower gwladys with a near perfect view of Jelavic's winner. Atmosphere was the best i've experienced at Goodison for a long while and it must've helped spur us on to victory (no pun intended) and into the top 4!

He doesn't speak English though, which is a bit of a stumbling block in that constant communication is instrumental in his methods.

 

I think him taking over from Mourinho at Real Madrid is a far more realistic possibility... and actually quite frightening to consider.

Rock solid defending, stand-in captain Gary Jones a rock and a leader in midfield. There was a fair bit of hit-and-hope to the corners going on but Bradford did try play it on the floor a fair bit too. A couple of nice backheels and stuff going on.

 

A superb performance it was. As good as you can expect from a fourth tier side playing one of the richest teams in the Premier League

It takes some doing to get done by Bradford City with that lineup. I thought I was able to feel sympathetic towards Arsenal especially after the Northampton debacle a few years back, yet I remembered we lost with 90% of our lineup being ressies / fringe players under one of the most tactically inept managers we've ever had.

 

The penalties were just as bad too.

Managed to catch the tail end of the extra time and the penalties. Nearly jumped out of my seat when Vermaelen hit the post on that last penalty. Credit to Bradford, gave their all against an absolutely dismal Arsenal first team.

 

What now for Wenger? I think he'll stay on, IMO.

I cant imagine how annoyed the fans must be to have a manager who has as much money as he could possibly want but refuses to spend it. I know at everton we get annoyed because we sell a player and Moyes gets 10% of the transfer fee back for the squad, Wenger gets it all...whatever he wants. When he does spend recently he seems to buy total sh*te. Yeah he has been a great manager but its not like a a rare mistake...its a long line of them. Its madness.

He's completely unproven, if he get's appointed does he also bring with him the best players in the world too? Messi, Iniesta and Xavi? No. Ridiculous amount of hype. Am I wrong? Did he manage another team before Barca?

 

Barca still have a lot to thank previous managers for, they helped to set up a brilliant academy, like the Ajax one in the early nineties.

Only one person will fill Sir Alex's boots, that's David Moyes, sorry Everton, but I can really see it happening, Sir Alex might even stick around with the club, and help Moyes settle in, but I can't see him sticking around with the blues for much longer, unless Kenwright get's his cheque book out, or sells the club.

Wenger to get the sack in the summer, and to be replaced by Klopp I reckon.
