Yeah Zabaleta is really impressive. He seems to be one of the only hungry players around this season for City, as soon as you win something your players get lazy (see Madrid being 11 pts behind already). Zabaleta just looks fired up and ready to go all the time

Just looking at the World Player of the year final players. No English players but they cost so much? I do fully agree there shouldnt be any in there because none are good enough, but the league is forced to play more.

Since that homegrown rule the premium has shot up and you really do not get value for money. You could go abroad and pick up a player twice as good with better attributes. Solution is to make your own British talent instead of paying big money.

That's a problem you have when you have two governing bodies trying to fix two different aspects of their game.

 

Is there a premium for home talent in the other leagues? there were big fee's 10-15 years ago but you don't really see it now. The likes of Pirlo and Montolivo went on bosmans in Italy.

It was a game of two halves mate, Everton dominated the first half and reaped the rewards with Fellaini finding the net, then we conceeded a soft penalty, Dzeko goes down like a sack of sh*te but Fellaini did tickle him like, twas one of them where it happens 15 times a game but as usual the desicion goes against us . After the break City looked a different team and had most of the play but just couldn't manage anything in the final third of the pitch, then the last say 15-20 mins of the half it was like turns to piece to take the momentum.

 

Quite an enjoyable game imo and probably the fairest result for both teams, a little frustrated by the pen but i lost faith in refs awhile ago. Anyone know why the Etihad was so empty?
