nerner
Bristol City delving around in the transfer market again. Looks like they are nailed on to buy Brett Pitman and John Stead. Although after Saturday's 3-3 draw, maybe we should be looking to strengthen our defence, which looked slow and sluggish against one of the worst sides we are going to play this year. Damion Stewart and Albert Adomah look to be great signings for cheap money, and Ivan Sproule had his best game for ages.

Vercetti27
City should sign Brett Pittman, he's a quality player at bournemouth , but they really could do with a defender as they've been sloppy letting in loads of goals . maybe its bradley orr's departure

Brett Pitman is due back at Bloomfield Road early this week for more negotiations. That transfer can go either way. Personally I don't want Pittman, I'm not sure that he would be able to cope in the prem and he seems greedy. He rejected our first offer that was 6x more than what he is earning at Bournemouth. QPR are welcome to him although I'll miss shouting his name on the sidelines. See he scored his first goal for a while yesterday. I still love the guy. I would put down our conceding of goals due to diving into challenges. 4 penalties in our last 4 games. If we hadn't dived into our challenges, we would have beaten Barnsley and Doncaster. We are missing Louis Carey, who is our rock at the back and has played 500 games for us. And Christian Ribeiro, who is form our academy and Everton and Arsenal were looking into before he got injured again. Jamal Campbell-Ryce is too small, as is Lee Johnson, but due to our huge injury list (15 players) they have to play. Although if we get Stead or Pitman we can play them up front with Adomah on the wing. Thereby creating less work for McAllister, thereby meaning that we can win 6-0... @02fishera: His deal with you is already dead in the water. Bournemouth have admitted as much. His agent said yesterday that he is due back at Bloomers, I'm just going by that. But as I said before I don't really want him, I'd rather see us take a young Premiership striker on loan. At least then they would put in the effort, even if it is only to impress their parent club.

Brown Sugar
no offense to any newcastle fans but how the hell can we be losing 3-0 at half time but to be honest they are dominating, also i couldn't help mentioning how stupid barton looks with that mustache
Bates_GTA
They're winning because they can finish, we simply cannot. God knows what's going on, Didn't help Carew taking our penalty, he's always gonna smash it down the middle, Why doesn't Downing take them? Oh well, fair play to Newcastle they must be loving it. And now it's 5... Reminds me of last year when Bristol City got battered away from home against Doncaster. Oh, make that 6-0. Seddo
Second week in the Prem and we've had four 6-0 wins already . Anyone reckon Barton will get in a bit of trouble for his Hitler celebration? It was probably a joke to do with his tash like but after his recent history it's not something you should do really.

SIKKS66
It's early season, still got some rust to shake off I guess. Frustrating end to the match but as long as we stay undefeated til we play one of the biggers boys I'll be happy. And congrats to Newcy, bloody hell. I thought Andy Carroll would end up being a good Prem striker. Reminds me of Drogba (and not just cause of the ponytail ).

Xenon128
United had their chances, but most of our shots were right at Stockdale. And Rooney was really missed, 'cause Dimitar is not very interested in dropping back deep or chasing back for the ball.

nerner
I know that the football league record is 209 goals in a weekend. Did a quick search and I found one weekend where there were more goals scored. In November 1995. Results: Aston Villa 1-1 Newcastle United Blackburn 7-0 Notts Forest Bolton Wanderers 0-3 West Ham United Leeds United 3-1 Chelsea Liverpool 1-2 Everton Man Utd 4-1 Southampton Sheffield Wednesday 1-1 Man City Tootenham Hotspur 3-2 Arsenal Wimbledon 1-1 Middlesbrough QPR 1-1 Coventry City That's 36 goals. Liverpool vs Man City will probably tip this week's tally of goals over that week's. Edited August 23, 2010 by nerner
