My lord City were terrible.

 

I wish Liverpool were in the CL instead of them too. The biggest club comp in the world, facing the champions of Germany too...and they still cant fill the stadium, its beyond a joke. Manchester Utd get 70k no matter what game is played at OT.

Liverpool atleast have one of the best atmospheres on European nights in football, they would have filled the Emptyhad twice over.

Anyway, should Real beat Dortmund and we beat Ajax then all is level again, still in with a good shout of getting out of this group.

This round of CL matches showed somethiing. Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea all had relatively comfortable wins where City had a torrid time. It's all about experience, and I don't mean just the players but the clubs as a whole. The fans, coaching staff, backroom staff, everyone involved in the game basically have a sense of being in the right place.

 

City were like awkward guests at a party who had tagged along with an invited friend. Their fanbase isn't geared up for mid-week matches. They don't know how different CL matches are from the premier league. They don't really know good play from bad, and it can affect the players.

 

It takes years for Champion's League culture to become ingrained into a club, and City are a long way off.

I'd say that's spot on. I think it's foolish when some people label us as one of the favorites due to the team we've got, it's still only our second time in the competition. Although to be fair to City being drawn into this group of champions along with our massive dip in form hasn't done us any favors.

Blaszczykowski & Lewandowski had a quiet game, when Blaszczykowski doesn't play to his best you can really feel something missing from BVB... Lewandowski is in poor form tbh. Gotze was fantastic and well Subotic as usual f*cked it up for Dortmund (despite it being harsh as hell).

 

I hope Dortmund can beat Madrid but I doubt it will happen, I think it will take all the stars to allign for Dortmund to survive that battle.

Lewandowski is not clinical enough to be considered a world class striker. But he's able to hold the ball and to help with the build-up of our game. He missed a sitter yesterday but apart from that he wasn't that bad at all imo.

I was impressed with Gündogan and Bender yesterday. They were brilliant.

 

And the fans were awesome as usual.

Other than that, City were total and utter dog sh*t. Mancini has a lot of work to do if they have any chance at all in getting into the next stage.

Dortmund rammed City for the entire 90 minutes, they just didn't get to climax ;-) it better be a wake up call for City or else they're heading out. If City actually turn on they can atleast reach the quarter finals, it's a matter of Mancini getting them to switch but I don't think he's the man capable of doing the job. I believe City need a change

Dortmund's performance at city was reminiscent of ours there a couple of weeks ago, though city were much better in that game.

 

Udinese should prove a stern test for liverpool, but I think their win against norwich might have instilled some confidence in B-Rods team.
