You're missing my point. Yeah, Howard Webb comes across as being biased towards United, even I'll admit that, but you will always get people that complain about the choice of ref. For example, if Phil Dowd was the referee, I would be swearing and cursing because I can't stand the f*cking sight of him and he makes some pretty poor decisions imo.

The point here was being biased, not just poor decisions. Also, I can't believe you're complaining about Dowd. For all I know, he seems pretty biased towards Utd. too. Ask an Arsenal fan.

Of course there will always be complaints about the ref, particularly ones who have an apparent bias toward a particular team. Even if these claims are garbage, it still looks bad enough for referees to be moaned about all the time - and no, not just Howard Webb.

So I see that Steve Kean has been forced to resign from his post at Blackburn. I can't say that I'm surprised, he must have know that it was coming having continued to receive no support from the chicken farmers and abuse from the morons there that call themselves "fans." Painted as the villain from day one, I can't help but feel sorry for the guy.

They had a pretty decent attack for a team in a relegation battle but their defence was absolute crap, cost them so many points, they weren't exactly getting battered either. He's kind of been unlucky but saying Blackburn will compete for top 4/6 was kind of weird.

 

If Venkey's wanted rid why not at the end of the last season rather than wait for him to be pretty much on top of the Championship. Their owners are a waste of time, know nothing about running a football club.

Plenty of goals and suspect defending has once again pretty much been the story of Rovers season so far. They're sort of like an unattractive version us. I can't see too many fancying the job there, it really wouldn't surprise me if the Venky's bring in some puppet from an Asian league.

In the NFL, there were some terrible decisions made by "replacement" referees and the entire country stood up on it's feet, the media, the fans and players all shouting over the injustice. And it turns out the official referees are coming back.

 

In football, teams get shafted consistently week in and week out and it's business as usual, not even a word spoken about it. And if there is, there is actually a high risk of a FINE and / or ban - what in the ungodly f*ck is that about?!

A few mates have got Everton tattoo's, Tom got the club emblem on his calf and tbf the fella who done it for him did a fantastic job, looks very good. Hah, you are kidding, right? EVERY WEEK, one team will cry out "injustice" if the referee makes a mistake.

 

But yeah, something should be done... just so I don't have to listen to f*ckers whine any more. Harsher penalties for refs who f*ck up, younger, fitter men being encouraged to take up the job. Double the number of refs, with more promotion and relegation through the leagues based on their performances.

 

And introduce technology to assist them.

 

Either we go the entire way and have all decisions automated by computers and technology... or accept that with human referees, errors WILL be made, as human players make mistakes every week too.

 

I've always said a 'flagging' system as in the NFL would be good for the very elite levels of the game, with managers given 1-2 'flags' per half to question a ref's decision. Some will counter this by saying "it slows down the pace of the game" or "some will abuse it"...but seriously, YOU CAN'T HAVE IT BOTH f*ckING WAYS!
