Again, poor defending has cost us.

Ah well, could have been worse, plus we have an easy(ish) run in the next five matches.

Bollocks.

Tight game, and I love you Davie I really do, but there's been a quite a few sloppy passes from you today, a bit Bronze not really Silva.

gervinho will never score a half chance....

Koscielny showing why he was rated as our best player last season , filled Vermaelen's and then some. plus it seems Ramsey is better used as an attacker than a DM

David Silva looked a bit sh*te today. His passes were all over the place. I thought Kompany was going to score a contender for a goal of the season earlier. Good save denied him though.

United beat the scum and City draw. Today has been a good day smile.gif

We played terrible today and Liverpool were the much better team but I didn't really expect us to play well anyway. I mean we haven't played well at Anfield in ages so I expected that sort of game. So pleased we won in the end.

I would have been pissed if Man City somehow managed to win that game. Arsenal played great, their passing was sublime. And what the f*ck was Koscielny doing with that clearance, nearly went from hero to zero there.

Overall a decent weekend.

Yeah it has been a good set of results for me. United winning, City drawing and it was expected Chelsea was going to win at Stamford Bridge.

Silva isn't anywhere near what he was last season, no question. But, as I said there are about five games coming up which we 'should' win without too much discomfort.

It was a typo, why would I call it a decent set of results if City won? Kind of obvious, just saying. sarcasm.gif

fight! fight! fight!

Really feel for Brendy and Liverpool in general. Quite unfair on them, and I know football's ruthless an' all that, but even so.

I don't understand why Brendan Rogers left Swansea. He had a good job there and was doing great for a team with low expectations. Surely he knew going to Liverpool would be a bad idea... moto_whistle.gif

Ohhh, well excuse me whatsthat.gif

I think B-Rod (yeah, I know how much the Liverpool ones love that name) mentioned how it was somewhat of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. And yes, maybe for him it was, but I'm sure even he knew what pressure would accompany it.

Still early days yet, he could turn it around for all we know (to be fair, he's had a tough ol' set of fixtures to start with, in amongst implementing his new style to the Liverpool squad).

I hope he does for his sake, because I do like him as a manager, but I hope he doesn't for Liverpool's sake. Watching them get relegated would be one of the funniest things ever... lol.gif

Getting sick of LFC fans calling Man United supporters for chanting during YNWA song. Come on they clapped and showed respect when Sir Bobby came on with the flowers and when the two captains let 96 balloons off but expecting them to be silent through YNWA... No.

Some United fans started the "Where's you're famous Munich song?" chant which led to Munich gestures then hillsborough and Heysel chants etc.

Well, the Pool fans were most likely still caught up in this whole Hillsborough incident, and rightly so given how monumental this past week has been what with them gaining what they feel is justice. for those fans who passed away.

Them singing YNWA, was probably somewhat of tribute to those who died, not surprising united fans couldn't let them have their moment.

They aren't going down, and I can see them improving dramatically as the season goes on. They had us on the back foot quite firmly until Shelvey's dismissal, and still managed to score first and make things very difficult for us.

I do agree in a way but it's not like they were making sick chants or out just getting behind the team. LFC fans would do the same to any other club tbh.

I'm glad they shown respect when they let the balloons off and that.

John Terry has retired from international football. Well I'm quite happy about this, seeing as it means he can focus solely on us now, but also from an England perspective it means we don't have to worry about the whole Rio Terry feud anymore or the other locker room stuff.

Of course they would. LFC fans still make chants about the Munich Air Disaster and they get p*ssed when a few United fans chant during YNWA? F*ck off. I probably come across as being heartless and arrogant, but it annoys me when you hear of a LFC fan making fun of what happened in 1958 with the Munich Air Disaster, then they are all crying about it and kicking off because they heard chants from United fans today. LFC also made plane gestures today before the United chants, so they can f*ck right off.

Anyway, it was good that Evra and Buckteeth shook hands today. Kind of expected really.

@Gta_stu: Bummer. Can't say I'm surprised really.

Sky reported the united fans retaliated because the Liverpool fans were making plane gestures at them first, then quite a few Liverpool fans on twitter wishing Mark Halsey his cancer back.

Both sets of fans as bad each other and it will never end.

In today's game (liverpool vs man utd) :

shelvey was sent off at 38:58 (38+58=96)

gerrard scored at 45:51(45+51=96)

rafael scored at 51:45(51+45=96)

rvp scored at 80:16(80+16=96)

Quite a coincidence...

The loud and arrogant minority once again get to have the honour of tarring all sets of fans with the same brush - shocker.

Have we learned nothing?

yeah quite a coincidence, odd that, and they played up to 96 minutes

I would expect 1 or 2 of these but not all 4 major events. good eye.

I truly feel for the families of those who died in Hillsborough, Heysel, Munich. They have to hear reports of classless idiots chanting and laughing about tragedies that claimed the lives of their loved ones, and yet they can't do a thing about it.

It's alright for the people behind it (on both sides), they sling sh*t back and forth at one another like the un-evolved apes they are and then head home and forget all about, but for the families...it's just another reminder of who and what they've lost.

Isn't this kind of expected within football? Passion can very easily turn to abhorrent violence and/or classless, undignified acts. This isn't the first time it's happened, and it certainly won't be the last. Besides, the vast majority of football supporters, regardless of club, understand that this sort of behaviour is unacceptable from any stand-point, and the sheer overriding quantity of those supporters being in the majority is enough to mitigate the few bad eggs present within any club's support, so because of that I don't think we should aim all of our attention at these schleps.

Besides, if you think all of this is uncultured, just try and witness some of the things which can occur within Balkan football...

Anyway, glad we nabbed the three points. Was kind of disappointed that Vida didn't make it out, and the lack of his presence didn't exactly aid our lacklustre first half, but the parable of us being the champions of playing like absolute bilge and then coming away with the three points continues, and I sure as hell ain't complaining. biggrin.gif

Also, I'm glad that we're showing faith in Lindegaard; I feel much more comfortable seeing him as our future number one instead of De Gea, to be honest.

Looking at the Liverpool replay, the ref was totally spot on. Liverpool dominated the first half and should have wrapped the points up.

If anything with the City match it showed how well Arsenal are coming along, anyone else think they could really worry the top 4 this season? Myself included didnt think for a single second they would be in the top 4 this season after the players they sold but he has bought some nice players in. Showing how well and clever that club is run. Might be worth a pound.

I reckon 4th for Arsenal, there just isn't the depth in the team for resting players and contingencies in place for any injuries. The grind will start producing silly f*ck ups at some point. Still, not many people go to the Etihad and put in a performance like that.

Still, would be nice to do over Chelsea if we can next weekend. Will make it even more interesting in the short term anyway.
