Eminence
Gerrard is paid more a week than the entire Lille squad do a week! Gerrard was by far the worst player on the field. Rafa needs to drop him to the bench for a few games. I still think Liverpool will do the job at Anfield but they dont half like to make hard work of things! Couldn't agree more. He's had a shocker of a season. I mean, I know he's always been just a tad overrated - he comes up with astounding moments but his overall play is sometimes questionable - but this season has been beyond belief for most of it. Though I've heard more rumours about just why he seemed so distracted against Wigan. Eminence
In light of the whole Bridge-Terry debacle, I'd lend it very little credence. Just as it seems extremely weak as far as rumours go. I'm sure you can deduce where I'm going with this. I actually haven't been able to find anything regarding it online so it's probably an absolute nothing, haha. Still, it would be almost comforting to think that something is behind it. The lack of motivation/interest shown from the majority of our squad does not bode well. SIKKS66
Don't think I've had quite an amazing week of football in ages. United shaft the second most successful team in European Cup history, Madrid show what £200,000,000 can buy you and Liverpool get stuffed by lil Lille. All I want now is Chelski to get sent packing by José next week and the awesomeness will be complete. So...end of season... Rafa for Real anyone? José for Kopville (trophy population: 0)? Interesting. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/706548-the-footy-desk-part-1/page/3/#findComment-1059820018 Share on other sites
nerner
For all Arsenal fans: Would you rather come 6th and win the Europa League which Liverpool may well do, or come 3rd and win nothing, which will probably happen for you this year? Seddo
Liverpool get stuffed by lil Lille. I wouldn't call a 1-0 defeat getting stuffed and we were hardly outplayed. Tchuck
After Santos' 10-0 win vs a lower league club, Robinho once again claimed he wants to stay at Santos, and not return to europe. He also said that Manchester City is a small club, with solid financial state but that must win titles to be considered big. A bit of a bold statement to say we will win nothing this season when we are still in with a shout for the Champions league and Premier league. In answer to your question, 3rd and nothing. Oh great leader of the all seeing things! Can I get the numbers for next week lottery in Norway? Seeing as you see all and know all. Let us all bow down to the great master! And to Answer you (kinda) Arsenal at the moment has the easiest game program, if they win the rest of their games and manu and chelsea loses points against eachother (draw) and liverpool beats them wich can happend, we will win the league, tho I do think chelsea will win it, but arsenal are far from out of it. Lethal Nizzle
Mixed day for me; Spurs win, my baby boy Pavlyuchenko scoring another brace, Cardiff losing to Leicester and Wales losing in rugby to Ireland. It's not exactly an outlandish statement to be fair, you're outsiders for the Champions League and 3rd best placed to win the Title. It wouldn't be at all suprirsing if you finished 3rd and didn't win the European Cup. Mand'alor
Yeah seriously, every f*ckin Arsenal fan I've talked to think they're going to win at least the league this season just because they've the 'easiest run-in'. f*ck me, ye barely bet a 10 man Hull yesterday. Ari Gold
Hoping for a solid result tonight, just to prove Waddy wrong. But seriously, we need to be getting results against 'lower' opposition if we're any chance of making an impact on the title chase. Both our main rivals won last night, so we need to keep up with their pace so we don't lose touch, 'cause two weeks of sub-par results and bam, we're out of it. Plus Rooney is in such a rich vein of form at the moment, I'm hoping that he can make an impact. Ari Gold
First half was frustrating to watch, Fletcher should've taken a shot when he had a chance. Shattered I went to bed at half time, and within a minute after the break they score. Ah well, nice to collect the three points, and if I'm not mistaken, Arsenal, Chelsea AND Man United are now equal on points and matches played... My mistake, we're two points ahead of Chelsea and Arsenal, and Chelsea have a game in hand. Nonetheless... Going to be a tasty run-in. Waddy
Looks like the special one came back to haunt Chelsea last night. Chelsea looked crap though, signs of a long hard season maybe?
