Dominated the entire match? Holland had 53% ball posession, so that's hardly that dominating. They had 20 more shots than us, but since they can't seem to hit the goal 9/10 times, they didn't deserve the win. I think we played a very good match, and it was a great goal by Krohn-Dehli, sure wasn't 'lucky'. Great defense by Agger as well, kept them from many big chances, but of course there was some luck as well.

 

EDIT: Another interesting stat here. Holland had 28 total attempts while Denmark only had 8. But both teams had 8 attempts on target.

Face it, Denmark really ever had one moment of danger, and thats when they scored. Those other goal attempts were all negligible. Denmark's defence was also sub-par. The Dutch had no trouble getting past them at all and it was only because of their own incompetence that they couldn't score.

 

In summary, Denmark didn't win because they played well, its Holland that lost because they played abysmal.

The Holland v Denmark wasn't all that good, but well done Denmark. As for the Germany v Portugal match, I actually thought Portugal were the better side, yeah the Germans were more technical (as always) but the Portuguese were more entertaining to watch.

If Germany and Holland are among the favorites, then this tournament is going to be wide open. Not that they were bad, but with a sloppy offense any decent team can give them a run for their money. Badstuber and Hummels looked pretty at the back for Germany, though.

 

Can't wait to see what Spain and Italy have to offer. I think it's going to be the first cracking match that we're all waiting for.

Although the quality of the games so far hasn't been great, the matches haven't been too boring, I was expecting some much more defensive displays from a few of the teams, so I'm happy with that.
