YEEEEEAAAAAAAAASSSS TOWN ARE FINALLY BACK IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP THE MIGHTY TERRIERS ARE BACK

Congrats, I'm glad to see Huddersfield come up considering you've got Grayson in charge and Peter Clarke in the side. Plus the Galpharm makes for a decent away trip. icon14.gif

ta, I would love for them to be an established championship side (mid table and such) if they were to get promoted again (ever I would be delerious

Playing decent football tonight. been impressed with Carroll, Young and Green.

Really, thought it was rather dull myself, caught myself napping a few times while watching it. What I saw in between winks I thought Carroll was probably the best player.

As for City's new away kit, the Maroons not bad, but I still prefer the Red and Black stripes.

I watched the game from about 12 minutes until about 25 minutes. We didn't seem to be able to penetrate them without going for the long ball, and our passing was quite bad. Just couldn't watch it anymore it was too boring.

And what's this rubbish about penalty shoot-outs, and that they should be scrapped because it's not always the best team that wins? Does that mean that if next season Southampton beat Arsenal then we need to change the format of a 90 minute game as well? If Ivory Coast are so good then they should have beaten Zambia in 90 minutes. I'm really not understanding this argument at all.

Congrats on the win England, though playing like that wont get you far in the Euros.

PS - we will get you next year (united) - i promise you that

No youse won't wink.gif

yes we will - you will see

I wouldn't mind either way if United come back stronger next season. If they don't we should win by a big margin, but if they do then it might me nearly as exciting as last season (However I still don't think the EPL will end in such dramatic fashion again.....and I was at it but I don't like to mention it tounge.gif ). Still think it'll be City's for quite a few seasons to come...but hey, it's football.

I hope Kagawa is a flop, you mancs are making him out to be the Japanese Messi, he's a boss player like but looking at Utd's team they need more then 1 decent player to be able to compete with City.

I'm unsure. I think it will be really close between City and United for the next 4+ seasons but I think in that time, City and United will both win it. Like I said, I think it will be extremely close again.

Or a season without extensive injury problems; despite having most of the squad out for what felt like the entire year at one point or another, we only lost on goal difference to a side that is, on paper, a certain win. We weren't anywhere near at our best but at the moment dramatic restructuring looks unlikely - I'd be pleased with an influential mid fielder that can cover for Scholes' wearier legs, the rest is a bonus.

Was asked this yesterday "What would you do if City went bust or out of business?". Now it wasn't a joke or sarcasm about City's money, more a metaphorical way of saying what would I do if City ceased to exist?

So, what would you guys do if your Club suddenly ceased to exist? Support someone else? Quit on football?

Support the grass roots version of Newcastle (fan made team i.e. AFC wimbeldon), Gateshead FC or a foreign team.

Edgley Park would be packed out. That is if I was pick another English Club. I would still go to Starks Park for my Scottish club Raith Rovers.

A lot of City fans I know would rather go to Stockport County than anyone else in the area, or maybe even Hyde United.

I suppose you would just continue watching football and over time develop a passion for a new club...maybe. I have a friend who watches all football as a neutral and he seems to get on fine but it would be balls missing that gut wrenching feeling of your team losing the title in the last few minutes, its what makes football so great for me!

Unless you're only getting into football (which in this case, the question I ask means nothing) you wouldn't be able to develop such passion that you have for your current club (I reckon). It would always be at the back of your mind, especially when your new club wins something, you wouldn't enjoy it as much as you would if it was your old club who won it. The days of joy or disaster will always stick with you (Remember that Owen goal in the 96th min? Despite having won the league + doing the double over United this season, I still feel sick in the stomach watching that goal).

Probably start attending Bradford City or Bradford Park Avenue games. As I probably should have done since I was younger. But,you know, you can't exactly change your team in your teens cause you start getting called a glory supporter tounge.gif I really can't imagine supporting any other team.

Well if we were hoping for an advert for penalties the League 1 play-off was definitely not it.

that was the truest advert for shootouts there can be and the fact you don't think so shows you do not understnad shootouts, do not understand anything about this debate about them and sdo not understand football

for a fan they are hell (if your team is involved) if you are neutral they can be "pointless" but ewhen i am neutral i get some sadistic pleasure from them, when i am a fan of one of the teams... there is not an equivilent in sport for the nerves and drama

Firstly, learn to spell.

Secondly, I'm a fan of penalty shoot-outs; I was merely pointing out that that one was f*cking dire. Which it was, and no, I understand that is no reflection of Huddersfield as a club, so don't jump the gun and assume any criticism means I'm slagging off your team.

Thirdly, you've jumped to the conclusion that I ''do not understnad shootouts, do not understand anything about this debate about them and sdo not understand football'' well I've mentioned my feelings about shoot-outs, so we can discount that first part, but how, exactly, have you managed to assume I understand nothing about football or the penalty shoot-out debate from me saying that it was a sh*t game, lacking in quality, summed up by a penalty shoot-out...also lacking in quality?

From what I understand, you, a part-time fan for both Manchester United and Huddersfield, are telling me I know nothing about the game I love based on absolutely no previous knowledge about me or my views on football. So let me fill you in on some details:

-I'm a West Ham fan

-Season ticket holder through 2 relegations and 2 promotions. That's nearly 10 seasons with a season ticket by the way, if we're counting.

-I've been to 2 play-off finals and an FA cup final at the Millenium Stadium and the Weekend before last I shelled out about £170 to get me and my little brother tickets to Wembley.

-I've seen my team lose on penalties and I'm not ashamed to say I cried.

-This season alone I've pissed my student loan away for the privilege of watching West Ham away at sh*tholes including, but not limited to: the KC Stadium, Turf Moor, Elland Road, Hillsborough, The Keep Moat Stadium and the Madejski.

-I like open, free-flowing attacking football with an emphasis on pacey wing play and midfielders with the ability to create. (Sadly lacking under Big Sam)

-On Football Manager I like to set me team up in a fluid 4-4-2.

-I'll always buy the program but that's more because my brother likes to collect them.

-One of my life ambitions is to meet Dean Ashton and shake his hand.

-Oh, and I thought Howard Webb had a stormer in the 2010 final in a tough game.

Does that help at all? Hopefully next time you want to question my understanding of, or commitment to Football you'll be far more informed. Good luck next season splitting your Saturdays between Old Trafford and the Glapharm, I'm certainly glad I don't have such a dilemma.

That actually came really close to happening to the club here. I'll be honest, I'm not sure. I've had full season tickets to them the last three seasons.

I wouldn't quit on the sport, but I just couldn't go to nearly as many matches.

-I've seen my team lose on penalties and I'm not ashamed to say I cried.

I feel you. That is the worst way to lose. Such a sickening feeling.

A true fan. Proud to say I've done some of the things on your list, but for City. Never mind the likes of Balotelli or Kun, I was jumping with joy when I got photos with Shaun Goater or Paul Dickov in the old Division 2 (nPower League 1 now). Glad to see you guys back in the EPL.

So Sol Campbell is telling England fans to stay at home. I agree with him after watching the Sky Sports special report on hooligans in Ukraine; it seems really bad. They are all Nazi's so they will target dark skinned fans and there is a lot of racist abuse to the players.

Why the f*ck did they pick Ukraine to be a co-host of the Euros? confused.gif

Just seen this...

Eden Hazard: 192 apps, 50 goals and 30 assists

Shinji Kagawa: 198 apps, 86 goals and 45 assists.

I don't even want him at United if it's taking him this long to decide on a club. He can f*ck off to Chelsea for all I care.

I really want Kagawa now though. bored.gif

kagawa spent a lot of time in japanese league 2 so.... yeah (just last 2 years in germany) - just thought i wouldprove your arbitary stats to eb a tad... unreliable as a ll arbitary stats are, gotta combine them withthe factors behind them like I just did. (statistician talking here)

sky are overplaying this, they said 30 mins ago that he can now say via twitter which club and nothing yet. they lied cos it would be known by now if they were telling the truth. f*cking media
