One guy beside us left at 2-1.....poor ol' sod.

I think it's the guy I know aswell. biggrin.gif

He rang me at the time saying he was disgusted and he left. Then he rang me last night and said he felt like an utter tit...

I don't understand this at the best of times, in a normal match I don't see why people leave before the end. But on the final day of the season where your team stands a chance of winning it all, I don't see how waiting just a few more minutes would hurt.

I can imagine the atmosphere was wild. I know the television broadcasts can be misleading depending on microphone placement, but it sounded fairly quiet when it was at 1-2. Even if that was the case, I imagine it was pretty special after Aguero's went in. Didn't realise there was the parade today, was in the student area of Manchester for exams and was gonna go in to town to have a look around some shops, suppose I missed out on it being absolutely rammed!

I know what you mean, about leaving early. My first match we left early and missed 3 goals that give City a 5-2 win, after that me and my dad/brother thought 'Never Again'.

Although in this guy's defence (And any other Blue who left) it was a f*cking Hammer blow when their second went in cos from then onwards City we either squandering chances or looking like they couldn't do anything with the pressure. I felt sick in the stomach to be honest and absolutely gutted. Coulda easily wept. But I kept hope and prayed, and the rest is History.....

I'm pretty sure I've said it already, but I'll reiterate: I need to get myself a Juve kit with a number ten on the back. Del Piero is probably one of the players that marked me the most, and now he's retiring. Farewell, Alessi.

Inzaghi and Van Nistelroy are retiring too, crazy.

Might do the same you know. He was a cracking player whenever I was growing up.

That Tevez picture doesn't even make much sense... Seems City have come out with an aplogy.

Also did City only manage to muster up 100,000 fans for their parade? that's quite a poor attendance if true.

Shame to see Del Piero hang his boots up, also Inzaghi and RVN, two of the best goal poachers over recent years, great scoring records.

But it does coz Ferguson said "not in my lifetime", the implication of the sign is therefore that Ferguson must be dead because United are now City's underdogs (this is of course an exaggeration).

I watched it. In my opinion there was quite a good turnout. People climbing objects and such to get a view. Nice parade.

Still disappointed, that his best mate Noel G didn't managed to persuade him to come to City even for a swansong season.

Gary Neville's been taken on as England's first team coach, with a four year contract. He's got all the badges, but zero xp. His analysis is good I reckon, but his co-commentary is wank. Niall quinn has been pretty decent the last few games of the season, hope he's back next year.

Unfortunately for you he's staying at Sky Sports too tounge.gif

Good for both England and Gaz that move. Allows Neville to get a bit of elite level coaching experience while also carrying on his top punditry. He'll be a ready made right hand man for Ole in a couple of seasons when Sir Alex retires ph34r.gif

Hodgson has admitted that he hasn't spoken to Neville much at all over the years. I think it's a good sign that Hodgson wants some men in his staff who will be unafraid to question him or cajole senior players. He's thinking outside his own comfort zone and the staff he had at Fulham. Good appointment.

I've heard lots of people suggesting the Ole takes over from fergie in the near future. Still don't think anyone can do what he has done, especially Ole ffs.

Pretty sure Seddo isn't scouse?

Anyone arguing Man City didn't buy the title need to give their head a wobble, they did. That said the team on that field deserved every winner's medal and the PL title this year because the likes of Yaya, Kompany, Aguero etc have all worked their bollocks of all season. Man City fans are utter bells and their support of Tevez after all he has done is so fickle it's unreal. I wanted United or Arsenal to win, they're the only top teams who i actually do respect.

I do agree with what you have said Chris but as a Manchester United fan I have accepted that there are always going to be big money spenders (like Chelsea in 05) United do spend big money too but they buy young players for big money then build them into great footballers. I have a feeling Sir Alex might just splash out on a new CM, a new left back and maybe a striker. The thing is, United need new players since some of them are getting on but imo City don't need to spend £100 million on two players in the summer. City have came out and said they are not spending big in the summer.

I'm quietly confident we will win back the title next season and it will be a title race between the two Manchester clubs again. Look at how many points United and City are above Arsenal in 3rd, that just sums it up for me.

That would actually be a pretty decent squad I guess. Wouldn't be surprised to see England in the semis this year.

Rumours abound that Kenny has left his position as LFC manager. Might not be true.

Apparently Man United going for a three way deal for Kagawa, Hummels and Lewandowski. Obviously just paper talk (expect from Kagawa since he is strongly linked with United) but that would be one hell of a deal!

Just had a look at the league table and how it progressed, once again Everton are near the top post January which begs the question, why the hell do we always start the season terribley, if we were to start the season as we've ended the last 3 then we would be top 5 no doubt.

Form table from January 1st 2012 for those interested in seeing how your teams have done.

City 44

United 44

Everton 35

Newcastle 35

Arsenal 34

Fulham 32

Tottenham 30

Chelsea 30

Wigan 28 (FFS!)

Sunderland 27

Swansea 27

WBA 25

Norwich 25

Bolton 23

QPR 20

Stoke 19

Liverpool 18

Blackburn 17

Aston Villa 15

Yeah actually, read that in the paper too, it said Dortmund said that Kagawa would probably go but no amount of money would have them sell the other.

As they say, every man has his price, but don't think utd could afford what Dortmund would want.

I'm sure Kagawa is off to United. But pleeeeease, Robert and Mats, stay for at least another season.

We can easily replace Kagawa since our midfield is simply awesome but Lewandowski and Hummels would be massive losses.

Kagawa is the player we need in the middle because he has pace, that is what United lacked in the middle this season.

There is a possibility that Fletcher is going to retire in the summer which is a shame because Fletcher is a fantastic player and always performs in the big games. I can also see Anderson leaving.

everton made important signings in jan, the loan deal of pienaar plus the arrival of jelavic certainly helped. if they started the season with these players they would have gotten into europe IMO.

We donated our managerial revolving door to them.

Apparently Lady Ferguson rented a DVD for Sir Alex to watch to try and cheer him up, I don't think however Gone in 60 Seconds was the right choice.

If Kenny does go it will count as Stuart Downings first assist of the season.
