nerner
I told all my mates I had tickets and 1 spare and they went mental at me "PICK ME!!!!" The look on their faces was priceless to be honest when I told them I was bullsh*tting.

nerner
Good last 15 minutes. I would prefer it if Fulham didn't make a habit of conceding in the first half though. Makes me nervous on behalf of those fans in the Fulham end.

Tchuck
That Brazilian team doesn't look anywhere near as threatening as ones of old. All depends on how Kaka plays I reckon. Tough looking defence though. Which hasn't usually been very characteristic of Brazil teams in the past but however odd I guess It's a fitting description of this current team. Yep, Dunga's Brazil is built around a solid defense, and not a super creative midfield or world class strikers, like old Brazilian teams used to be. Though he makes no distinction about teams, and he always goes in defensive no matter the team. Thus why Brazil drew 0-0 vs Bolivia at home, with 1 man advantage. If world cup teams come in defensively against Brazil, they'll have a great chance to win.
SIKKS66
Atletico are playing like a beaten team, if Fulham find some inspiration from somewhere they can win this. A damn shame Zamora had to go off. Please don't go to penalties...

nerner
Ah f*ck. Another broken dream. Must be the Europa League. Which doesn't have a good record with underdogs to be honest. However Fulham fans should be proud, no one will forget what they did tonight and in their magnificent cup run.

Don't be too disappointed if you lose though. Been 20 years since the team finishing 4th went up. Or something like that. Which explains why we didn't go up. It was written in the stars... kietotheworld
I hope Blackpool go all the way now! Brilliant game. Just make sure Coleman is back at Goodison for the start of next season @Kei - So he has picked, thats it. No discussion needed? I didnt know that. Not at all, but, IMO of course, when people are discussing whether he should go or not, the discussion should be around him having the speed of a pensioner and turning circle of an oil tanker should be going to the World Cup, rather than him not being very patriotic. Seddo
Find it funny that Carra has just arguably had his worst season for Liverpool in years and then gets picked by Capello. He tried bringing Scholes out of retirement again didn't he, so not sure what he's trying to do as neither would of been starters. Shame about Fulham losing, they should of started with Dempsey though, he seemed to give them that little bit of spark. I think Madrid only won 2 games all through the competition didn't they, amazing how they made it to the final.

Seddo
Not liking the fact the Champions league final is on a saturday? anybody know why? Must be just one of those things UEFA thought was a good idea, at least it's still got it's evening kick-off. It was probably something to do with getting more people watching the final or something. Edit: Here we go... "We are all of the opinion that this is a great competition which provides a considerable spectacle," said Uefa president Michel Platini about the changes. "I also hope that playing the Uefa Champions League final on a Saturday will give families, especially children, the chance to see the game." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/7120518.stm ------------------------ Drogba hits the woodwork twice as i was typing this out . Chelsea have hit the woodwork 5 times, Pompey must have the gods on their side at the mo'
3minty3
Perhaps not a great performance, nor a fortunate one, by Chelsea but that win gives us the first double in history. Congratulations.

nerner
2-0 Oxford United. Welcome back to the FL guys. Can't see York getting anything out of this now... 2-1 now. Own Goal by the keeper. Still can't see York doing anything as they look frankly toothless. Edited May 16, 2010 by nerner

SilentSeas
Congrats to Oxford and Barca for their achievments today. I must mention the tragic death of the Swansea striker Besian Idrizaj, who passed away in his sleep aged just 22. Its sad to hear about people dying at such young age
Ari Gold
Heard about that, pretty shattering. Never saw the guy play myself, but still sad that people that young can actually die, even though he was fit and living in a good environment. Shows how life is short. And wow, what a sh*t footballing season it's been: United came second, Crvena Zvezda are going to come second, Melbourne Victory came second, and my favourite German and Spanish teams (Bayern and Real respectively) both came second. Only 'positive' I can get out of this season is Inter winning the Scudetto, but I don't follow Italian football that intently anyway, so I'm not getting my knickers in a knot over it. Looking forward to the CL final; Although I like Inter, I have a feeling Bayern will do something.
