Bates_GTA
Wigan collapse was ugly. Then again Chelsea has no class by finishing the season like this. Was taking off your shirt really necessary during the goal celebration? Chelsea just got a pen and Lampard picked the ball up and takes it and scores and apparently Drogba is near enough crying and having a tantrum because i'm assuming he wanted to take it to try and get the top scorer award. That was just pathetic on Drogba's part. What he couldn't wait an hour to get that header. Then he got his penalty of his own to shut him up. I bet that wasn't even enough. My how many chances do you get and you still whine. WOW your an idiot! I can see why Drogba wanted to take it, it's just the sort of player he is. Especially with Rooney playing in the other match which meant he had no idea if Rooney had scored, but i do agree with Lampard, the main goal is to win the match. Like Killa said, i'd go insane if i scored in a big match like that, taking off your shirt would be the least you can do. I'm guessing you've just got some hatred for chelsea for one reason or another. You cannot deny Chelsea were absolutely immense all season, scoring a record breaking 103 goals in 1 season. Please grow up.
Der_Don
Congrats to Chelsea. I'm happy especially for Ballack. Look who's finally back in Europe next season Well, it's "only" Europa League, but after years without international football, it's good see them qualify for this competition. nerner
And congrats to Richard Dunne, most own goals in a premier league career... LanceVanceDance07
Oh my, it's been a while since I posted here... Congrats to Chelsea, they deserved it yadda yadda yadda all that bullsh*t. This was quite the season for them, considering the injuries and player scandals they had to go through. Europa League final on Wednesday, I personally want Fulham to win, but I think Atletico have the offensive weapons and are generally the better side. Predictions? Next season i want "him" to break the 20 goal barrier for us!. But seriously, I think we got the same amount of own goals for as goals from Berbatov
Darkye
Looking forward to see what happens with Newcastle, as we already made known that we don't have no money available for the summer. I guess we can snap up some free agent players.

Midfielders: Gareth Barry, Michael Carrick, Joe Cole, Steven Gerrard, Tom Huddlestone, Adam Johnson, Frank Lampard, Aaron Lennon, James Milner, Scott Parker, Theo Walcott, Shaun Wright-Phillips. None of them 30 surprises me, like it surprises BBC for some reason. Capello has to chop 7 names from that list and the "surprises" may end up being the ones chopped. Huddlestone, Warnock, Parker... Waddy
How Carra is in there is beyond me. He retires from England because he threw his toys out of the pram, then just walks back into it. Players have been working hard for a long time to try and get into the squad. Not because I support Everton but I would have put Jags way before Carra! Also King is a good player but he can only play 1 out of 2 games!! How must other players feel when they cant get picked over a crock!! Heskey??????????????! I'd prefer seeing Dawson getting some big game experience, we need to get the next generation blooded for when Terry and Rio move on (which may be sooner rather than later). I guess Capello wants experience. Annoyed to see Nev not given a chance.
Waddy
I would give Johnson the nod over Neville but for cover deffo. The Carra thing just pisses me off because he gave up on country long ago. Shouldnt be allowed anywhere near the team and he's sh*t, and he will give a penalty a game away each time he plays.
Bates_GTA
Interesting to see who goes out of the 30 picked. I'm pleased Adam Johnson was given the nod over Ashley Young, being a Villa fan it hurts me to say it, but i think Ashley youngs style of play is restricted compared to Johnson who reminds me of Joe Cole with alot of flair. How would everyone slim it down to 23 then? Heres my choice.. #1 - Hart James/Green A. Cole S. Warnock J. Terry R. Ferdinand J. Carragher L. King G. Johnson S. Gerrard F. Lampard J. Cole T. Walcott A. Johnson G. Barry M. Carrick A. Lennon J. Milner W. Rooney D. Bent P. Crouch J. Defoe Wow it's actually really brutal to slim it down with so many people having a great season. nerner
One question. Why does Heskey get in every England team/squad when a striker who doesn't score is about as useful as a blind man at an art gallery?
SIKKS66
My 23: Goalkeepers: Joe Hart, David James, Robert Green. Defenders: Leighton Baines, Jamie Carragher, Ashley Cole, Michael Dawson, Rio Ferdinand, Glen Johnson, Ledley King, John Terry Midfielders: Gareth Barry, Michael Carrick, Joe Cole, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Aaron Lennon, James Milner, Theo Walcott Forwards: Peter Crouch, Jermain Defoe, Emile Heskey, Wayne Rooney Close call between Carrick and Parker. Bias wins out. I'd have taken Neville over Carragher for the CB/RB cover role but what can you do. I can kinda understand why Capello likes Heskey. He's so damn unselfish and will let Rooney and the attacking midfielders thrive whereas Bent would want to go forward and score. He's probably our best target man, Heskey, with Crouch being the second best.
Bates_GTA
Because he's a handful for any defence, i'm sick of explaining this, i see Rooney and Heskeys partnership being alot more hard to deal with than Rooney and Defoe, but i do think he's had a poor season, And considering Crouch poses the same threat with abit more of an edge over Heskey i'd much rather see him go, Crouch has got an insane goal scoring record for England aswel. Tchuck
Dunga just released his call up. It goes as follows: Goalkeepers: Júlio César (Inter - Been solid all year), Gomes (Tottenham - Started out bad in England, but is growing better last I recall) and Doni (Roma - Played 14 games in a season. Terrible keeper) Defenders: Lúcio (Inter - solid, specially in the champs league), Juan (Roma - usually good for the national squad), Luisão (Benfica - haven't seen him play, can't comment), Thiago Silva (Milan - same as Luisão). Fullbacks: Maicon (Inter - solid guy), Daniel Alves (Barcelona - been good through the season), Gilberto (Cruzeiro - been doing f*ck all this season), Michel Bastos (Lyon - Haven't seen him play, can't comment). Defensive Midfielders: Felipe Melo (Juventus - crap), Gilberto Silva (Panathinaikos - old, not nearly as good as in his Arsenal days), Josué (Wolfsburg - can't do sh*t without Mineiro), Kleberson (Flamengo - him and the rest of Flamengo has been really subpar this season. Not worthy of a call up). Attacking Midfielders: Kaká (Real Madrid - quality when he's not injured), Ramires (Benfica - there's better players in the brazilian league), Elano (Galatasaray - haven't seem how his doing in Turkey, used to be decent in the english league), Julio Baptista (Roma - favoured over Ronaldinho. Really isn't a sub up to Kaká's quality) Strikers: Robinho (Santos - has been playing great for Santos, but the Santos team is good and been helping him as well), Luís Fabiano (Sevilla - prolific fella), Nilmar (Villareal - Not in good form, but he's a great striker), Grafite (Wolfsburg - not nearly as prolific this season as he wast in the last. Better players out there). The good: He didn't call up Adriano, which wasn't deserving it at all. The bad: He called up: Doni, Gilberto Silva, Felipe Melo, Ramires, Julio Baptista, Grafite, Kleberson. He didn't call up: Paulo Ganso, Neymar, Ronaldinho. Dunga is sticking to his old names list, and he's apparently oblivious to brazilian football, or he'd have called up the players that deserved a call up. But eh, can't expect much from a defender who isn't a manager. Be prepared for the ugliest brazilian team in world cup history. All they're gonna do is defend and go on counter. Capello's job isn't to pick the 23 people who deserve to be at the World Cup the most, it's to pick the 23 people who give England the best chance of winning. He obviously feels Carragher can help with that, whether he deserves it or not is academic. One question. Why does Heskey get in every England team/squad when a striker who doesn't score is about as useful as a blind man at an art gallery? To get the best out of Wayne Rooney. SIKKS66
That Brazilian team doesn't look anywhere near as threatening as ones of old. All depends on how Kaka plays I reckon. Tough looking defence though.

SIKKS66
Benzema left out of the France World Cup squad. He must be gutted. Maybe now he will join United where he will grow as a player and be appreciated. Edit: With all this talk of Cameron on the news channels occupying my mind, I forgot about Blackpool/Forest. Congrats to Blackpool; one more step to go. Edited May 11, 2010 by SIKKS66

Autopilot
^^ It's been 10 years since Sir Stanley Matthews passed away, what a fitting tribute to him it would be if Blackpool got promoted back to the top flight. Best of luck in the final. That Brazilian team doesn't look anywhere near as threatening as ones of old. All depends on how Kaka plays I reckon. Tough looking defence though. Which hasn't usually been very characteristic of Brazil teams in the past but however odd I guess It's a fitting description of this current team. SilentSeas
Thanks Waddy, theres a rumour going around that if we don't go up, you'll buy Charlie Adam for around £3.5 million with us also getting Coleman on a season long loan. If Charlie does go, I hope thats the rumour is what happens as the deal seems fair for all parties involved.
nerner
Blackpool are going to lose in the final. Sorry to say it but your way of getting to the final is exactly the same as ours two years ago, and even though you beat Forest I can't see you getting past Cardiff. Sorry to say this but don't be too disappointed and the playoff final is a great day out anyhow.
TommyMufc-Champs
Why Heskey? why not Gabby?
SIKKS66
Why Heskey? why not Gabby? In cup competitions- where each team member needs to play a role- you want strikers of different types: Rooney is our talisman, our goalscorer, it doesnt matter where he plays he's our most dangerous attacker. Crouch is a lanky targetman and a prolific scorer who works well with Rooney. Defoe is a bit like Owen 12 years ago, short and fast and a proven goalscorer at club level. Heskey is a mountain of a man who unsettles opposition defences and allows the attacking players around him (i.e. Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard) the time in posession and space to move in which they will thrive. Darren Bent has the strength to match Heskey and the attacking threat to match Rooney but doesn't excel like either of them at their chosen roles (or he hasn't when given the chance recently). Gabby Agbonlahor is a bit like Defoe in that he's quick and something of a goal threat but obviously Capello prefers Defoe who's scored so many goals this year for Spurs. We have only 7 games to play and you need a consistent team with set goals and jobs to do. It aint the league, a big squad full of talent aint necessary. Just the guys who do the jobs. Rooney, Heskey, Crouch, Defoe. They're all that's needed imo. This is just my belief btw, feel free to tell me I'm speaking out me arse Good luck to Fulham tonight, can't wait for this one. Diego may have made the scousers cry but tonight I hope it is he who is crying into the Hamburg turf.
