The Killa
Pfft, what a letdown, can't wait for next season to start. I'll take the honor of being the first to complain about a ref. Dowd was dogsh*te today to put it kindly. Although can't really complain about 1-1 in fairness. Two completely different halves. How can you give a pen and not send off the last man? The less spoken about the pen the better The Carroll disallowed goal, hardly any contact... First half we were amazing, we should have been well out of sight after that first half, but that's what you get we you don't put a way your chances. Flanno and Hendo had a bit of a mare. No idea what we done in pre-season as we looked absolutely knackered after 55 minutes which allowed Sunderland to start dictating the game. From what i saw in the first half i have no doubt on us grabbing at least 4th. Well it's a matter of the team gelling together I suppose. There was a LOT of players making their league debut today. Ah, I believe 4th or better is very realistic. Shame Downing was a few inches away from claiming a goal of the season candidate. ties ties ties ties Let's see how La Liga kicks off, then. Is it weird I think Bundesliga is more entertaining than La Liga, and at times the Premiership? It's such an open league.

Bundesliga is easily the most overlooked league in Europe, and I've heard some sound arguments that it's even the best!

I'll almost always watch Dortmund or a some random fixture if there's no Premiership on. Great great league that sets a good example. Those are the top 3 for me though. Would rather stick a needle up my cock hole than watch Serie A. Edited August 14, 2011 by The Killa

The Bundesliga has great ambience and a strong internal market.
flitcroft101
It's a good & fairly balanced league but I don't think it comes close to being the best. Real Madrid vs Barcelona today watching Stoke vs Chelsea, that non existant Chelsea midfield is gonna cause some serious problems. Torres is looking lively though which is a plus. Canoxa
Chelsea played shockingly bad. They looked like kids, no tactical culture whatsoever. Playing like that against Stoke, whose backline was neatly packed, can only result in, well, a goalless draw.

Also, I upgraded my Sky today for the footy season, then remembered how much of an idiot jamie redknapp is on SKY. Seriously! Atleast Neville knows what hes talking about. Redknapp must be the worst pundit ever.
JOSEPH X
Redknapp's all right man, he's a top, top, top, top, top, top, top, top, top, top, top, top, top, top, top, top, pundit. He is right about De Gea though, he doesn't have the stature. Thought Rooney's hair put in a good performance today, looks natural.
GTA_stu
Chelsea were so unlucky not to win. Clear pen when Lampard was fouled, and then we had a few decent chances as well. Not a bad result by any stretch though. Torres looked awesome, back to his best, was Ray Wilkins MOTM and mine too.
Banks.
An OK performance today. We got to a flying start and we were brilliant in the first 35 minutes. De Gea should of saved Shane Long's goal (even though he did fantastic to beat Smalling to get a shot away. Then the second half West Brom looked so threatening and they realised De Gea was lacking confidence which could of cost us the match but then Young produced a magic moment. What a player he is and deserved Man Of The Match and what a debut he had.

Our most exciting player at the moment, we haven't had a player who looks this likely to produce magic since Ronnie left. Seems to work well with Rooney too. I still have faith in De Gea. Him struggling like this was predictable. I called it months ago. A 20 year old in a new country, trying to bark orders at a defence when he's only just grasping the English language. He'll grow with each game, slightly concerned about his figure though; lanky and skinny aint a good build for someone who needs to be as strong as a brick wall when reaching up and catching crosses. But then he's only 20, let's see how he looks in 3-4 years.

I still think Howard is one of the better keepers in the prem. Foster is pants tho
The Killa
He is incredibly weak. There was a moment there he got pummeled in the box twice after two successive corners, got tossed around like a ragdoll. VDS probably could have done another season and let De Gea settle in a bit and be his understudy. He isn't ready to be a first team starter Young is a marvelous capture. 1-1 at Bernabeu. Had to watch United elsewhere earlier, can't believe I'm missing Real vs Barca ESPN 3 What a great goal from Villa. Also, Benzema had a friggin' sweet assist to Ozil early on. Awesome game so far! edit- It blacks out when they cut to commercials, so if you don't see anything right away, just wait until halftime is over. Waddy
I dont think Barca actually need him that much though. I think its more player pressure, they all love him. Maybe its more for the dressing room? Where will he fit in?
Seddo
Quality squad depth. Plus being Catalan helps a lot, there's a strong Catalan influence already there, so he'll definitely add to the dressing room. They will win the league and get to the latter stages of the CL and CDR, Inestia, Xavi and Biscuits may get a bit of a rest and you can't get much better than bringing Cesc in. They didn't need Masch but they got him and now he's covering center back.
