Real Madrid against Barcelona was pretty awesome. I expected a little more input from Messi but he's better out on the right wing; his touch for his goal was nicely pulled off, however. Madrid had a lot more shots at goal but they didn't really perform. I saw Henry warming up and expected him to come on sad.gif

f*cks sake, Spurs robbed for one of the sh*ttest decisions ever. 1-0 down in the second half of ET, and now we start to play football! Joke, absolutely fuming!

EDIT: Oh my good God, what a sh*t penalty call!

f*cks sake Fulham parked the bus and we had no way through mad.gif, seriously need a top notch striker next season to help Nando or for when he's not playing.

Big congrats to Pompey though, shame they can't get European footy next season.

I'm dissappointed with Manchester United's recent performance against Blackburn. That game showed that WE DO NOT need a new striker, however, a new midfielder. How many times does Berbatov need to go support the weak midfield and leave Macheda alone in the attack? Man Utd need a capable midfielder. Perhaps Yoann Gourcuff (fail spelling, I know) can be our saviour next year. This year is over for Manchester United. If only a miracle happens we will win the league.

I also have doubts that Hargreaves will get back to top form again, which is one reason why Manchester United have a weak midfield. Without his presence, we look weaker in the midfield and can't control the game like we did against many teams in our Champions League winning season.

Next Year Lineup:

Van Der Sar

Oshea- Rio- Vidic-Evra

Valencia Gourcuff Fletcher Nani

Rooney Berbatov

Subs: Goalie, Hargreaves, Brown, Scholes, Macheda, Giggs

It also turned out to be a bad idea not getting Sneijder into the deal with Ronaldo... FAIL decision, FAIL business deal.

I agree we should sign Gourcuff but there is another midfielder that I admire and that guy Is James Milner. There Is rumours we might sign him wink.gif

I had a nice trip to Wembley today to watch Pompey kick the sh*t out of Tottenham. It took until the 99th minute to get extremely excited but it was well worth it. I thought we played very well; Hassan Yebda and Kevin-Prince Boateng really make all the difference, Aaron Mokoena is much better in defence with Hayden Mullins and Marc Wilson played very very well. 'Grats to Ricardo Rocha for Man of the Match - truly deserved. Aruna Dindane up front also played well. Tottenham seemed to be getting very tired by the end; Crouch had a couple of great chances early on.

@ Lethal Nizzle: Of course I may seem bias about the penalty since I support Portsmouth but that was definitely a penalty. If the ref hadn't had called that one, there would have been some sort of investigation...

Van Persie is back for the derby.

Wonderful news, now we just need to thrash Tottenham again! smile.gif

Where has this been confirmed??

Let me correct myself, "reliable" sources have said he is coming back for it.

I've been reading alot of Arsenal blogs and they are all saying it.

New Liverpool kit is strange, seems weird without Carlsberg on. Makes me wonder what the United kit is gonna look like next year.

Problem with the above suggested team is that the squad is pretty much the same. I'm expecting some big moves tho this summer, should be interesting. All this talk of David Villa is intruiging but at 28, he'd have to adapt to the English game immediately to justify the money he'd cost. I wanted us to go for Benzema last year and I think we should try again. I see him fitting straight into our country's game. Gourcuff would be quality too for adding a bit of creativity and goalscoring threat in the middle but I'd prefer Milner, just to piss off the Leeds fans I know lol. With Smalling joining the defensive ranks I can't see us going for any new defenders unless Neville does go ahead and retire.

Edit: Been looking at random shirt fakes on the web for next season, this one looks cool:

That is cool, i wouldn't mind having that next season.

Big night of footy tonight.

Liverpool will be hoping for results to go their way. Spurs and Villa both playing. Everton should be up for it at Villa giving us a long shot for Europe if we do beat them, Liverpool will be hoping we do them a favour.

Spuds V Arsenal...huge game and if Spurs can pull the shock thats deffo game over for Liverpool.

I'm quite glad Chelsea won yesterday but how in gods name did they get away with the two peno decisions? They would of definitely been given if it was in Chelsea's favour.

Portsmouth are supposed to be fielding a few kids tonight, wouldn't surprise me if a few clubs come out and moan about the fielded squad should they lose.

Just seen Gomes' saves now and there were 3-4 world class saves there. He really was a Jekyll and Hyde keeper but he seems to be phasing his bad side out of him, steadily going back to his PSV days.

Arsenal bottling it again.
