No more Merriweather Mesa?

Ok, well I will share how to store it from the fort Zancudo gang attack, as I found posted by someone else in another thread...

 

After completing the gang attack, head to a nearby race/job blue circle. There is one just south of the fort, though I used one in the city, so I don't think it really matters which one you use. Park the Mesa in the middle of the circle and get out. You will be taken to the job screen, simply back out. Once you are back in the game you should see yourself walking out of the circle with your personal vehicle and Mesa respawned nearby. Get in the Mesa, drive it into your garage... Done.

 

And the only reason I didn't share it earlier was after the other guy was extremely condescending about me not knowing about this until now... Play nice people, and you shall receive!

My friend stole one once and bought a tracker and insurance for it, then tried to drive it into his garage and it said it couldn't be stored. Next time he started up the game it was sitting in his garage. Weird.

Had a bit of a chaotic M. Mesa retrieval action earlier when I called the mercenaries on my brother so we could both grab one.

Didn't actually pay much attention to the types and there was only one for me to take after he killed a bunch of them, I was unaware (never used this support feature before) of the fact that more would show up.

 

Anyway, mine's got an open roof, can you actually get the one with the closed roof from the mercenaries as well? Already spent a bit on low level upgrades on this one but not a fortune, so in another mercenary attack I could grab the other type if it's available and upgrade that one instead.

Yes, mine is the closed roof, the mercenaries brought both styles, I wanted the closed roof (hardtop), so that's what I took. Only did this trick once, so I can't say they do it every time.

if you took it from the gang attack, it wont let you enter your garage with it till you switch sessions

just track and insure it, whatever, it still counts as your PV

For some there is no loss/prevention option....

i saved mine with the high end save method..

I'm gonna try the call merryweather method tonight

just use a friend and his apartment. send the mercs after your friend, stand next to him, when the mercs arrive have the friend enter the apartment. then take a mesa and be refunded the money.

 

free merryweather mesa.

You need to get one from merryweather mercenaries you've called on somebody,only ones you can still save

You cant keep any vehicle from a mission, including the gang attack on the beach by the fort. Unstorable. Find someone and call the Merc Squad on them and then kill everyone. Take their vehicle to Customs for the insurance if your keeping it and store

You can still store gang attack and mission vehicles, just pull into a blue circle,get out of vehicle, then back out of the job/mission you just joined and a storeable one will be parked near by. Just did it again last night to see if it still works and it does.

No need to call the Merc's on anybody.

Thx for posting this, as I posted this exact thing at the top of the page and clearly no one actually reads the posts in these threads anymore!

 

People can stop commenting and posting, there are a bunch of ways to still have the MW Mesa in your garage right now through a gang attack or calling mercs.

Works with the Western Daemon as well and was able to store a lime green Gauntlet brought back from rooftop rumble the same way.

As above, only available from mercenaries now.

It's a vehicle only Merryweather should have so R* disabled the routes we've had to acquire it

previously. You are best to probably get this now as next update will probably patch being able to

get it from the mercenaries.
