Does the way you play the game depict who you meet in freeroam?

Think about it for a second, almost 100% of the time it seems like when im looking to be friendly all i will find is trouble, but when you least expect it/not looking for it you end up meeting some random good friends along the way...I think this is because when we go looking it seems more invasive to others especially in a city as hostile as the los santos streets, thoughts?

BewareoftheBears

Seems like all the assholes hover around LSC and throughout LS, which is why I try and avoid the city and spend most of my FR time out exploring the hills and wilderness. Seems like whenever I run into people out there they seem friendlier and don't shoot at me on sight.

honk your horn, this drastically reduces the chance of someone shooting you. its not 100% effective, but it is useful.

Man-Django

I cruise around alot in FR ooking for places to make new Deathmatches and occasionly Races. The top of the map away from the city is pretty safe except from Trevors Airfield, get's quite heated there. If your anywhere else thou your probaly miles away from anybody in session. So if someone is rapidly coming towards you who isn't a friend then it's a 1/10 chance they just wanna make friends.

Doesn't really matter if you go looking for it or not, trouble always has a way to find you in FreeMode

Last time I met someone ''friendly'', we had fun untill he stole my Infernus with his friend and drove to Grapeseed. Those motherf*ckers got what they deserved.

I trust nobody but my actual friends and fellow crew members.

Soran Is On

The motivation in a nearly motive-less free roam is really hard to nail down. Some will target you because or your name, level, or because you drove past them funny. Others will take 2 deaths just to try and be your friend.

Trying to figure out the psychology of our community is pretty impossible.

Short answer: yes. At least when it comes to my friends. We don't hold grudges. If some one picks me off with an amazing sniper shot or does something badassed, I send a congratulatory message. I've made lots of friends that way.

Off topic but on the subject of your thread title OP: I believe the word you were looking for was "dictate" not depict. I won't copy and paste definitions for you.

I always text before i approach someone. The times i forget to text and they shotgun snipe from 0.8 miles away i just walk up to them in passive and salute. I stay on the perimeter cruising and meet other friendly players doing the same. Whenever i hit the city im in something bullet proof weapon ready and stop at no lights or street signs. The city is not friendly when you have everyone housed in the same locations griefing each other. Had an awesome photoshoot in Chumash the other day with random players
