Bozzah Posted May 6, 2014 Share Posted May 6, 2014 the characters in GTA IV look like they showed a broom up their ass when they run, this is bugging me by far the most... The driving is a little more fun because you could pull off sick stuff because the cars slide so hard... oh and the physics are funnier (crash when on a bike, chopper blade) GTA V is still superior by far IMO. Also physics were fun as hell (crashing on bike at fast velocity, blowing people up and seeing them get launched, helicopter ram battle, ''Hey cousin, wanna go bowling?"). It's physics, driving, story, radio stations, gameplay and characters are all better than V in my opinion. Only thing I like more in GTA V is the cover system. Since yesterday I started replaying the story (well, I started again on late March but continued yesterday with Shadow) and I'm enjoying it a lot, my personality is a bit similar to Niko's, and that's why he was far more special than any GTA V protagonist to me, his character is so well made and fitting with the story, I like the dark touch of it as well, the intro and pause music, the radio music is better in my opinion, the city too. Liberty City feels more alive and interesting than V's Los Santos, in GTA V I'm most of the times outside the city, it's just boring now tbh. LC has more interiors, more details, hotdogs vendors, Cluckin' Bell, Burger Shot, Memory Lanes... friend activities are much more varied, the peds are more memorable too, and funnier, even the police officers, the fat cops from Algonquin, Broker and Dukes are my favorites xD. I had a lot of fun with this game, with EFLC as well, The Ballad of Gay Tony was actually the first "IV game" that I played and I still remember driving Tony's Schafter at night for the first time, tripping balls. It was a much better experience than playing V, honestly. albanyave Posted June 13, 2014 Share Posted June 13, 2014 There was an instant connection with just about every character in GTA IV. I felt there story life and it really felt believable. Even the neighborhoods told a compelling story. Everyone fit perfectly in their own space that made Liberty City such a diverse and interesting place. Los Santos seemed so disconnected. Each neighborhood kind of stayed to itself. There really was no reason for someone from Strawberry to every go to Vinewood. Algonquin was alluring. Step out your door in Broker, and right across the river was the land of opportunity. LiniArc Posted June 14, 2014 Share Posted June 14, 2014 GTA5 seems a little difficult and a lot different from GTA 3, GTA Vice City and GTA 4. It isn't the same at all. If you're looking to start a rampage to gain a lot of stars then if you aren't careful the cops will shoot you dead right away. You used to run around and get lit up with bullets before you'd actually die. For these reasons it's difficult to have fun outside of missions. Just running around causing mayhem is not the same fun it once was. Blowing stuff up etc. It is so much different. I'm not sure about the story mode yet but I'm not in love with this game yet. Yea GTA4 wasn't so great but it was GTA so it was pretty awesome. It was really consistent with the other titles and a bit better for next-gen. This game though I went by punching out car windows and no one got out to fight me they just ran away. Old GTA games you can find gang vehicles and start stuff with them. I was looking to rob drug dealers and stuff. This one the cops showed up and I went to punch a cop, got shot twice and dropped dead. LiniArc Posted June 14, 2014 Share Posted June 14, 2014 yeah I agree... and also if you kill 1 person in the street you will have the cops on you most of the time... in the older ones you could drive on the sidewalk mowing down people if you wanted as long as there wasnt a cop around.... its like although its a sandbox game they are trying to make you do the right thing and follow the rules.... btw I still enjoy gta 5 haha.
