R*'s testing policy is as follows:

 

1. Plug in USB and load up changes

2. Switch server from test to live

3. Turn on Xbox/PS3

4. Blow sh*t up

5. Switch xbox off.

 

 

Done.

They were never down, if you can connect to online it means the servers are up, its just having problems..

Still not working for me.

 

The game does have some really annoying 'features' in this respect, it does the whole map zooming thing before it even attempts to connect to the online servers. WHY?!? Why can't it check before it does the cutscene crap?

The servers are going to be acting funny until the update is released. Same things were going on before the business update was released.

There is going to be one patch before the High Life is released. It will probably contain the code for what they need to do when they run the DNS rank maintenance. I have a feeling some of the stuff in the High Life is going to have a certain rank requirement, maybe not but who knows.

There won't be any huge update amigo. They're just doing the possible 'patching' like that 2xRP-Payout event and most likely they're removing the code now to avoid it being hacked and exploited.

I noticed that the in-game lag seems to have improved noticeably today - for the last few weeks it's been really slow for me to load roads, vehicles etc after leaving a mission or race and the game often pauses for a couple of seconds when driving fast through the city to catch up. This is a recent thing and my X-Box and internet connection are as stable as ever. Since this morning the draw distances and speed are much better for me. I did have a freeze but I think that's a separate issue...

Worried about if Rockstar will take my legit rank 408 as if I glitched. Maybe all those countless RR missions weren't worth it.

Did that due to the freezing, the slowdown started after I did it and had never happened before!

DNS rank maintenance, when did rockstar mention they were doing this?
