[XBOX] Race tracks wanted (Grand Prix style)

Looking for Grand Prix/Formula 1 type races. Lap races, NO jumps, NO crossovers, designed for 30 players.

 

On every event we will change only 2-4 tracks, the rest of the tracks will be re-used so people can get to know them well and focus on racing like pros (which means will be a nice promotion of your job in case it gets selected). On top of the repeated hosting during events, participants will practice your track, prior to every event (extra community plays).

I made one called north Korean gp, its layout is similar to the real Korean gp.

I have one made on ps3, you can use ps3 made races on xbox?. In any case you can make it again, it's a lap around grapseed. Very flowing old style gp track naturally goes around there. There also a possibility for a long track version which I'll make soon.

@Elfoam: Unfortunately PS3 races cannot be used on Xbox and vice-versa. For now GTA 5000 will be held only on Xbox, but in the future might be extended to PS3.

I know you wanted races that catered for 16 players but this one is only 8, mainly because of the shortness and width of the roads on the track make it really challenging for drivers to overtake whilst keeping their focus on the quicks turns and narrow lanes. Its a difficult track master and one that needs your full concentration on every aspect of it despite it only being 1.23 miles long. Best played with 5 or more laps, traffic off (due to tyre barriers) and no slipstream. Main class to use would be sports. If you're a good driver then a fast time on here is around 57/58 seconds a lap in the sports class. Enjoy

That's really weird. People from both Xbox and ps3 are on the same social club and the map and game in general are identical on both. I totally assumed the tracks would be universal. No reason why not surely.?

Not sure what your limit is on how long. I created a 14.3 mile race on the main highways on Los Santos and Blaine County. Of course it can fit 16 people, and you are most likely going to want to leave traffic on as a deciding factor for the race.

No problem. I wouldn't say my other tracks are "serious" in the same way LSGP is since they have cross-overs for example, but feel free to check them out anyway. Cheers.

@TenFourSkin: we decided not to have firm limits on the length, but certainly we're aiming for not too long/neither too short races.

The reason is that since we play with a lot of people, we want to avoid overcrowding and accidents. For that purpose we will race at least 10 minutes on every track, with a lot of laps, so the chaos can be only in the first lap, then the racers will be spread around the track. With a long race 14,3 miles we will have a lot of bumping into each other, even if it's highway. Do you have a shorter race, which will be suitable? Thanks

well, funny enough i just made a playlist from my GP races a few days ago. i hope a playlist works for you, just let me know if you rather have the single race links. The tracks are designed with the intention that skill, and not luck, should decide on the outcome of a race. One of them (El Burro Grand Prix) i created specifically to test cars against each other and it turned out to be one of the most liked of the series.

 

I'm also open to adjustments on your request. hope you enjoy 'em!

what you do is, you open the ps3 link and exchange the 2 at the end of the url for a 1, and voila, there's your xbox version (also works the other way around, of course). and just like that i doubled the amount of races you can pick from (in general, not in this thread) . you're welcome.

After you bookmark it, still it won't show up in your in-game bookmarks.

The selection of the 12 race tracks for Round 1 (May 17th) is not finalized yet. The following is a preliminary tracklist, there will be changes in the tracks itself or the selection.

@TenFourSkin, King S0lo & others who posted here and might feel disappointed in case you don't find your race included yet. We reviewed your tracks, but we have too many good choices right now and I hope you don't get discouraged if your races are not included in the 1st Round. We kept most of the submitted tracks posted here (the ones that we liked), and as we're going to alter the playlist (2-4 tracks will be changed every round), therefore I am pretty sure we will include most of your cool creations in the next rounds.

 

Just so you know a little bit about the review process: BobMendez is our primary responsible in charge of hosting and selection of the tracks of the Championship. We're reviewing all proposed tracks together with the guys from the committee usually hosting them with at least 6-7 other people, sometimes even with full lobby. We're running them usually more than once in different days, so we can filter the big selection until we narrow it down to the short list of 12 tracks. In most cases a track might be selected but "with condition" (as it needs some tweaking, mistakes to be ironed out). We're trying not to interfere with Bob's decision making on which 12 tracks he will choose, simply because we need one person making the final call, as he has to consider a lot of factors (despite the obvious quality of the race and if it's really designed as a GP (checkpoints, props, length, appropriate for 16 people etc.), but also some other factors which can be considered only by someone who sees the big picture: e.g. variety of the tracklists (to give a feel of different tracks, which are not so much like each other), also no big duplication of the locations, number of races per creator and few more etc).

Those tracks which are selected "conditionally" will need some tweaking, and the corresponding creators will contact Md Oz E, so he can guide them in the update.

Will keep you updated once the final playlist for round 1 is finalized. On the behalf of the Championship Committee thank you all for the submissions, especially the ones who designed a race specifically for GTA5000.
